An article of hope for Cindy Sheehan

Cindy Sheehan a concerned parent waiting in the Texas sun for accountability from the President for going to war is not alone. The revolutionary council of concerned citizens (RCCC) is an attempt to focus the national debate on Informed Consent. The manifest for the revolution is a PowerPoint presentation commissioned by the Department of Defense (DOD) and prepared by three physicians, defining Informed Consent. Although Informed Consent is usually considered an individual contract it also applies to the collective.

We give informed Consent to the Congress, Senate and President to wage war and they in turn depend on accurate information to give their informed consent to go to war. The people as a collective give their Informed Consent to abide by the election process but the process must be fair and above reproach or else it will breed mistrust. The Patriot Act was not passed with Informed Consent if it was rushed and not read carefully.

The DOD Informed Consent presentation predicts that a breakdown of Informed Consent leads to mistrust. The DOD does have a disclaimer concerning the content and any questions that arise from the debate can be moderated by the authors, if they wish.

I would humbly suggest to Cindy that Informed Consent is at the heart of trust and the soul of democracy and deserves the focus of a national dialogue. The problem with having a national debate or any debate is the messenger is attacked and personally associated with the message. This is the reason for the anonymity and use an unimpeachable source for the manifest.
