Attack-Terrorism Governments USA Mary MacElveen

By Mary MacElveen

I want you all to pay close attention to this quote by the Salt Lake City, Utah mayor, Rocky Anderson as he said, “Blind faith in bad leaders is not patriotism” Since 9/11, many Americans have fallen victim to said blind faith with this administration flogging them all into the most brutal submission that if they dared to speak out, that they were unpatriotic. This administration has created a fascist state even more powerful than prior ones that equally destroyed those countries that were plagued by this virus.

Before you view Mayor Rocky Anderson’s speech, I want you to think of his quote above in this fashion. As Bush has invoked God’s name in his immoral quest by illegally invading Iraq, God did create man with free will and that does not mean that we should accept anything that anyone states with blind faith. God demanded of all of us that we do question authority as His son Jesus Christ went up against the money changers of the temple when He walked this Earth.

Mayor Rocky Anderson did not only attack the Bush administration by stating, “Give us the truth” he attacked and rightfully so the complicit media that often reports the very propaganda coming from this White House. Our media is servile and unpatriotic by not holding Bush’s feet to the fire and questioning the many lies told to the American people. Those such as Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter as well as many others are all guilty of treason in marching ‘goosestep’ behind George W. Bush. They are all the enemies of patriotism.

Our United States media today is acting as if they are following the words of Joseph Goebbelswhen he stated, “The effective propagandist must be a master of the art of speech, of writing, or journalism, of the poster and of the leaflet. He must have the gift to use the major methods of influencing public opinion such as the press, film and radio to serve his ideas and goals, above all in an age of advancing technology. Radio is already of the past, since television will soon arrive. On the one hand successful propaganda must be a master of these methods of political opinion, but on the other it may not become stale in using them. It must find new ways and methods every day to reach success. The nature of propaganda remains the same, whatever the technical means, but the means nonetheless are becoming ever broader and far-reaching.”

Those historic words are now repeating as we see Bush working along with the media of today using any medium available to them to distort the truth or bold face lie to the American people. But, dare I say it is the responsibility of the citizens of this country to use the various means of communication to find out what the truth really is instead of remaining complacent and acting as sheep.

We are much stronger than the propaganda that does surround us all. The founding fathers made sure that we came to be a nation that was founded on liberty and justice for all and if we do follow propaganda, we are turning our very backs on all of them. If something does not add up, it is up to you to find out what the truth really is.

As I opined in my VHeadline.com piece praising Congressman Ron Paul, I stated, “Silence is often the most destructive force that will take down any country” Those that do remain silent and follow Bush with blind faith and do remain silent are the very ones that will bring down this country. Dare I say that all are traitors to this country? I think so.

Americans are strong people and we can handle the truth so we must all be angrily raising our fists to this administration and complicit congress using Mayor Anderson’s own words, “Give us the truth!” If they are unwilling to tell us the truth, then it is up to us to remove them from power.

I especially loved how Mayor Anderson connected the Reagan/Bush administration with helping Saddam Hussein gas his own citizens as well as the Kurds and the Iranians as he stated, “Our country provided him (Hussein) with biological agents and weapons and equipment to make those weapons” He then went on to say that President Reagan and Vice President George H.W. Bush, “refused to even support economic sanctions, let alone going to war against him” He then stated what did we do when he was doing this, “We befriended, coddled him and rewarded him with government guaranteed loans totaling $5 billion dollars” He then went on to bravely say that all that helped Saddam Hussein back then should be “sharing his court room dock” as he stands trial today. When Saddam was truly a threat to this country, then President George H.W. Bush failed at taking him out in the first Gulf War and he must be held responsible. He along with our present Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld deserves to be on trial as Saddam is today.

Mayor Rocky Anderson is correctly reporting our darkened history and when we should have done something to take Saddam out; we did nothing, but to reward him. That is an ugly part of our shared history. No, we decided only to take him out based upon lies and trying to connect him with a terrorist attack in which it has been proven beyond any doubt that Saddam had no connection with 9/11.

The attack on 9/11 was very convenient to the present Bush administration to launch an immoral attack upon Iraq that had already suffered a long drawn out sanction and where they were not a threat to this nation. Even the late Pope John Paul II stated to Bush, “You go without God!” The late Pope knew of the abomination that Bush was ready to commit in the slaughtering of innocent people. As the ‘Shock and Awe’ campaign rained down on the citizens of Iraq, it was as if the gates of hell were opening up and swallowing them whole.

This is what the complicit congress and media are refusing to tell the American people and we as citizens must remind them to “Give us the truth!” as Mayor Anderson challenges both groups along with the Bush administration.

Mayor Anderson correctly reminded us all that the support we had post 9/11 was turned into scorn as we illegally invaded Iraq and I loved when he said of Bush that he is a, “dishonest, human rights violating, war mongering president” That is the language that every patriotic American should be using as we see our soldiers continue to die, thousands to come home maimed for life wishing that they had died in Iraq and the tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis that were killed in our name.

I have often vilified the term politician since many of them deserve to be likened to villains, but Mayor Rocky Anderson is a true patriot, a true elected leader and not just an official. In my opinion, he is one that should and must be paid attention to. The video feed that I included above of his speech must be shared with everyone you know.

He rallied the group that came to hear his speech which included Veterans, Republicans, Democrats as well as others towards the end of his speech by stating, “No more lies or hiding of the truth, we can stand the truth” as he goes down a list reminding all of us what has been done throughout this administration, such as the money made by Halliburton as they were paid handsomely throughout this war. He reminds us of the Patriot Act in which he rallies those that came to hear him by stating, “No more!” He reminded us all that when it comes to global warming we must rely on science and not fiction and where we must protect the wild life in this country. As I just came back from visiting the Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, Colorado, I can identify with protecting the wild life that lives within that park.

As many Americans thirst for real leadership, real patriotism and a leader that is willing to tell us all the truth, I see that all in Mayor Rocky Anderson. He challenged us all to finally stand up and demand the truth not only from this administration, complicit congress, but the media as well.

If America ever deserved a moral president it is now. Dare I say that having one like Rocky Anderson is one that we all need now? In my opinion, yes we do need his fire brand, fire in the belly, and where he challenges us as a nation to stand up for the truth to save us all. I see him as a leader to cure this nation from the virus that has affected us all during these past six years.

America, you deserve far better than what you have been force-fed throughout these past six years. You deserve your honor back, your integrity, a real and true patriotism and that means cleaning house in Washington, D.C. It means having a man lead this country like Mayor Rocky Anderson of Salt Lake City, Utah.

If I had Mayor Rocky Anderson’s ear right now, I would state to him that his next step in service to the public is that he throws his hat into the ring and runs for president in 2008. I know that I would follow him because he leads by example showing us all what true patriotism is all about.
