New Statesman, BBC, Mainstream Media nonreportage of Indian, Palestinian, Iraqi, Afghan, Climate Genocide

Wars and conflicts International

A shocking aspect of the continuing Palestinian Genocide, Iraqi Genocide and Afghan Genocide (post-invasion excess deaths 0.3 million, 2.3 million and 3-7 million, respectively; refugees totaling 7 million, 5-6 million and 3-4 million, respectively) is the resolute NON-REPORTAGE of this carnage by the Mainstream media of the Western Murdochracies in a process of continuing, racist holocaust ignoring and genocide ignoring.

It must be noted that holocaust ignoring and genocide ignoring are vastly worse than holocaust denial or genocide denial because at denial at least admits the possibility of debate.

Mehdi Hasan has published an article in the New Statesman that argues that the BBC has a right wing bias and not a Left bias as often claimed. He concludes that “With a Tory government on the verge of power, it is time for liberals and the left to fight back and force the BBC to acknowledge its real bias” (see “Bias and the Beeb”, 27 August 2009: http://www.newstatesman.com/uk-poli... ).

However the ostensibly “Left” New Statesman shares the same bias as the BBC when it comes to deadly serious matters such as horrendous Indigenous Subject mass mortality in past and present genocidal atrocities in which Britain is involved e.g. the Indian Holocaust (1.8 billion excess deaths, 1757-1947), the WW2 Bengal Famine (6-7 million killed), the ongoing Palestinian Genocide, Iraqi Genocide and Afghan Genocide (post-invasion excess deaths 0.3 million, 2.3 million and 3-7 million, respectively).

I sent the following Comment to the New Statesman in response to Mehdi Hasan’s article. However the New Statesman has a policy of censoring such comments i.e. deciding which comments are fit to be read by its readers.

Will my comment see the light of day or will it be censored by the ostensibly Left New Statesman?

Is there a D notice (or something equivalent either imposed or self-imposed) that constrains ethical reportage by the New Statesman as well as the BBC?

COMMENT SENT TO NEW STATESMAN.

A useful article by Mehdi Hasan. BBC bias is horribly evident when it extends to ignoring of past and present holocaust and genocide events.

Thus the BBC’s lavish “The Story of India” TV series managed to totally ignore 2 centuries of colonial deprivation associated with 1.8 billion excess deaths, the 10 million Indians killed in post-1857 reprisals, and massive man-made famine in British India starting with the 1769-1770 Bengal Famine (10 million dead) and concluding with the WW2 Bengali Holocaust (6-7 million dead in the “forgotten” 1943-1945 Bengal Famine).

The BBC also fails to report current atrocities. Thus in the Occupied Palestinian, Iraqi and Afghan Territories post-invasion non-violent excess deaths total 0.3 million, 1.0 million and 3.2 million, respectively; post-invasion violent deaths total about 11,000, 1.3 million and up to 4 million, respectively; post-invasion violent plus non-violent excess deaths total 0.3 million, 2.3 million and 3-7 million, respectively; post-invasion under-5 infant deaths total 0.2 million, 0.6 million and 2.3 million, respectively; and refugees total 7 million, 5-6 million and 3-4 million, respectively (plus a further 2.5 million Pashtun refugees in NW Pakistan). This constitutes a Palestinian Holocaust, an Iraqi Holocaust and an Afghan Holocaust; a Palestinian Genocide, Iraqi Genocide and Afghan Genocide as defined by Article 2 of the UN Genocide Convention (see “Pro-Zionist Western genocide denial”: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/298... ).

However a Search of the BBC (try it yourself: http://www.bbc.co.uk/ ) yields 36 entries for “Jewish Holocaust” but ZERO (0) for the terms Palestinian Holocaust, Iraqi Holocaust, Afghan Holocaust, Indian Holocaust, Bengali Holocaust, Iraqi Genocide, Afghan Genocide and Bengali Genocide and only 1 each for Palestinian Genocide, and Indian Genocide.

Even worse, the BBC ignores "climate genocide" set to kill 10 billion this century due to unaddressed man-made global warming.

END COMMENT.

Will the New Statesman publish my comment or will it continue to hide the Awful Truth – just like the holocaust-ignoring, genocide-ignoring, unethical, lying by omission BBC and indeed all the Mainstream media of the war criminal, climate criminal Western Murdochracies?
