Racist Zionist Palestinian Genocide: New IDF order permits mass deportations from West Bank

Racist Zionist Palestinian Genocide: Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports that a new IDF order will allow mass deportations of Indigenous Palestinians from the West Bank.

The liberal Jewish Israeli newspaper Haartez has reported this week that a new IDF (Israel Defense Forces) order will allow mass race-based deportations of Indigenous Palestinians from the West Bank (see: see “IDF order will allow mass deportation from West Bank”. In short, according to the Jewish Israeli newspaper Haaretz (12 April 2010) ; “A new military order aimed at preventing infiltration will come into force this week, enabling the deportation of tens of thousands of Palestinians from the West Bank, or their indictment on charges carrying prison terms of up to seven years. When the order comes into effect, tens of thousands of Palestinians will automatically become criminal offenders liable to be severely punished. Given the security authorities’ actions over the past decade, the first Palestinians likely to be targeted under the new rules will be those whose ID cards bear home addresses in the Gaza Strip - people born in Gaza and their West Bank-born children - or those born in the West Bank or abroad who for various reasons lost their residency status. Also likely to be targeted are foreign-born spouses of Palestinians…the term infiltrator will also be applied to Palestinian residents of Jerusalem, citizens of countries with which Israel has friendly ties (such as the United States) and Israeli citizens, whether Arab or Jewish. All this depends on the judgment of Israel Defense Forces commanders in the field.”

This is racist persecution of Indigenous Palestinians by racist Zionist-run Apartheid Israel. It also constitutes a Nazi-style Palestinian Genocide as defined by Article 2 of the UN Genocide Convention (see: http://www.edwebproject.org/sidesho... ) as set out below.

Article I. The Contracting Parties confirm that genocide, whether committed in time of peace or in time of war, is a crime under international law which they undertake to prevent and punish.

Article II. In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such: a) Killing members of the group; b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

Article III. The following acts shall be punished: a) Genocide; b) Conspiracy to commit genocide; c) Direct and public incitement to commit genocide; d) Attempt to commit genocide; e) Complicity in genocide.
Article IV. Persons committing genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in Article III shall be punished, whether they are constitutionally responsible rulers, public officials or private individuals.

Article V. The Contracting Parties undertake to enact, in accordance with their respective Constitutions, the necessary legislation to give affect to the provision of the present Convention and, in particular, to provide effective penalties for persons guilty of genocide or of any of the other acts enumerated in Article III.

Article VI. Persons charged with genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in Article III shall be tried by a competent tribunal of the State in the territory of which the act was committed, or by such international penal tribunal as may have jurisdiction with respect to those Contracting Parties which shall have accepted its jurisdiction.

Article VII. Genocide and the other acts enumerated in Article III shall not be considered as political crimes for the purpose of extradition. The Contracting Parties pledge themselves in such cases to grant extradition in accordance with their laws and treaties in force.

Article VIII. Any Contracting Party may call upon the competent organs of the United Nations to take such action under the Charter of the United Nations as they consider appropriate for the prevention and suppression of acts of genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in Article III.
Article IX. Disputes between the Contracting Parties relating to the interpretation, application or fulfillment of the present Convention, including those relating to the responsibility of a State for genocide or for any of the other acts enumerated in Article III, shall be submitted to the International Court of Justice at the request of any of the parties to the dispute.

This is also a war crime under the Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War as stated by Article 49 set out below (see: http://www1.umn.edu/humanrts/instre... )

“Article 49.

Individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory to the territory of the Occupying Power or to that of any other country, occupied or not, are prohibited, regardless of their motive.

Nevertheless, the Occupying Power may undertake total or partial evacuation of a given area if the security of the population or imperative military reasons do demand. Such evacuations may not involve the displacement of protected persons outside the bounds of the occupied territory except when for material reasons it is impossible to avoid such displacement. Persons thus evacuated shall be transferred back to their homes as soon as hostilities in the area in question have ceased.

The Occupying Power undertaking such transfers or evacuations shall ensure, to the greatest practicable extent, that proper accommodation is provided to receive the protected persons, that the removals are effected in satisfactory conditions of hygiene, health, safety and nutrition, and that members of the same family are not separated.

The Protecting Power shall be informed of any transfers and evacuations as soon as they have taken place.

The Occupying Power shall not detain protected persons in an area particularly exposed to the dangers of war unless the security of the population or imperative military reasons so demand.

The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.”

The Palestinian Genocide in the illegally–occupied West Bank and in what the Catholic Church has described as Israel’s Gaza Concentration Camp is mirrored by increasingly vile impositions on the Indigenous Palestinian minority in Israel proper.

Outstanding Jewish American commentator Stephen Lendman has recently exposed further racist discriminations proposed within Apartheid Israel that already treats its Indigenous Arab minority as seconds class citizens : “Other [proposed] measures target those who can buy land and the so-called Nakba law, watered down from its original version to exclude imprisonment, but including a provision to withhold public funding for any state-supported body holding Nakba commemorations. Arab school curricula exclude its mention, and outright banning it denies Israeli Arabs their collective identity, memory, and right to freely express opinions, especially about something this important. The Incitement Law threatens prison for anyone denying Israel’s existence as a Jewish, democratic state, and the proposed Loyalty to Israel Law rescinds citizenship for anyone unwilling to pledge it. Still another measure bans demonstrations near public officials and service provider homes as well as others responsible for public welfare. What can decent people do? Peace is the only way but silence kills and silence is complicity. Decent people must (a) inform everyone they can and (b) apply Sanctions and Boycotts against Apartheid Israel, its racist Zionist supporters and indeed against all people, products, politicians, corporations and countries supporting the ongoing Palestinian Genocide.

Indeed, by way of example, outstanding hero in the fight against Apartheid Israel-supported Apartheid in South Africa, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, recently write a letter to Student Leaders at the University of California, Berkeley who are demanding divestment in Apartheid Israel: “ It was with great joy that I learned of your recent 16-4 vote in support of divesting your university’s money from companies that enable and profit from the injustice of the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land and violation of Palestinian human rights. Principled stands like this, supported by a fast growing number of US civil society organizations and people of conscience, including prominent Jewish groups, are essential for a better world in the making, and it is always an inspiration when young people lead the way and speak truth to power…I have been to the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and I have witnessed the racially segregated roads and housing that reminded me so much of the conditions we experienced in South Africa under the racist system of Apartheid“ (see: http://www.countercurrents.org/tutu... ).

A key area of applying sanctions is in the democratic process. To repeat what I said in the above letter, decent anti-racist Jewish and non-Jewish Australians must oppose the ongoing Palestinian Genocide by sanctions against Apartheid Israel and its supporters, notably the pro-Zionist Australian Labor Government that is imposing race-based violation of the human rights of NT Aborigines and of refugees fleeing what top US law professors call the Tamil Genocide and Afghan Genocide – in Australia’s compulsory preferential voting system decent Australians should Put Labor Last.

People in other democracies should act likewise against those supporting racist Zionist (RZ) Palestinian Genocide.
