SEPTEMBER SONG:Bush and Patreaus are Ready

Attack-Terrorism Governments USA

Today, looking blustery and disturbed, George Bush took the podium in the Rose Garden and made a rank fool of himself yet again under fire from the usually wimpy Washington Press Corps.

Bush looked every bit like the well known horse who was "rode hard and put up wet". He was unusually rambly in his smirky responses to questions which were often barely polite. He kept mentioning al Qaeda and 9/11 and how we can’t give up the noble fight. He also stated that the American people whom he professes to love and respect so very dearly..are an ignorant bunch of of clowns who don’t understand what is going on, and that he DOES see it clearly. Chalk one up for arrogance!

To hedge all bets, George also told the gathered throng that this Summer will be "tough", and that August in particular will be "hot". That’s because the terrorists KNOW that come September the much revered General Patreus is going to "review the situation" (like Dicken’s Fagin), and tell the public where things stand vis a vis progress in Iraq. Bush is all ears, but its’ a done deal. While we’re waiting for the Fall Bush is jacking up the surge troops in theater, despite claims to the contrary. The only assumption one can make is that in September the overview will state the usual pack of lies. Things are slowly improving, the government is making strong strides, areas of Baghdad have calmed down and there’s a good chance we can prevail...given another $100 billion minimum and another 6 months to see how things go.

Not to worry. Things usually get better with insurgencies within 10-15 years, they say.

I still don’t know WHICH insurgencies "they" are refering to, or who "they" are...but by God "they" must know.

They MUST!
