The title of this article is what the notice read on the morning of May 4, 1970 - it sat largely unread in the mail boxes of Kent State University students. Later that day, four students were murdered when the Ohio National Guard opened fire on a hillside filled with students - some protesting, some watching, others merely changing classes.
Whether or not you are old enough to remember the tragedy at Kent State ( http://www.may41970.com ), please pay attention to this (...)

Bush pushes very hot button President’s comments embolden anti-evolutionists
9 August 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
by Joe Garofoli
The real impact of President Bush weighing in on the national debate over how to teach the origins of life may be felt in the classroom, where much of the anti-evolutionary lobbying is done under the radar.
One tactic is for a student or parent to present the teacher with a list that’s popular in conservative circles called, "Ten questions to ask your biology teacher."
The result, observers say, is that some teachers fear even mentioning "the e-word."
"That’s what (...) -

Eleven years ago, Allegra Milne-Salter’s uplifting story featured in the Herald. As a six-year-old with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, she had been accepted into mainstream classes at Kelso Public School, near Bathurst, as part of a new policy of inclusion.
"She needs to be in the world, and the world needs her, too," her mother Sally said at the time.
Now in year 12 at Kelso High School, Allegra is 17 and, like all "life skills" students, will finish school next month. (...) -

It was an intelligence operation directed against the United States and the American people. Elements of false flags, security penetrations, photographing America’s critical infrastructure, and spying on Arab cells in the United States all point to a well-coordinated operation that was tolerated by senior members of the Bush administration. The results of a three and a half year investigation now revealed. (...) -

5 August 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
As students organizing against the war on campuses across the United States, we stand in support of full self-determination throughout the Middle East, including the self-determination of Iraqis and of Palestinians. As our generation is asked to sacrifice our consciences and our lives for the sake of U.S. empire-building, we are committed to opposing that empire-building in its entirety.
In the Middle East today, illegal occupations exist not only in Iraq, but also in Palestine. We (...) -
The Most Inspiring true Story Of Our Time

3 commentsA few weeks ago, Dr. Taddy Blecher visited his favorite place: Jefferson County, Iowa.
Voted South Africa’s best speaker, Taddy has met with presidents (like Bill Clinton) of many countries, and inspired a large donation to his school from finance guru Suze Orman.
A leading business magazine: "Blecher is 35, going on 15. He is animated and entertaining, and in an interview, is more interested in helping his interviewer to improve his or her life than talking about himself. "Journalists (...) -

Twelve Year Old: Why are they recruiting at our Middle School?
15 June 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
7 commentsLast Friday, June 10, I entered the cafeteria in FHT Middle School in South Burlington, VT only to be greeted by a strange sight. A large screen had been set up on the stage, and adults were milling around and passing out flyers.
I glanced down at a flyer on the nearest table, and was indignant to find that this invasion of my middle schools cafeteria had been orchestrated by none other than the Police and the Vermont National Guard.
The point of the presentation was to encourage (...) -

4 June 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
One thing is clear. Money is POWER. And for the richest entities in the world which is the conglomirate of multinational corporations MONEY IS THEIR ONLY POWER. If you design a social system without money corporations and the oligarchy of class domination will never exist on earth again. Freedom will actually exist. And Peace will be a reality. How is this so?
I can tell you that more protests, arrests, and mass harasment is now going on and will increase more than any other time in (...)
