Video: Iraq War Vet Rose Forrest Criticizes Sen. John McCain

Memorial Day, May 26, 2008, Baltimore, MD. On top of Federal Hill, a ceremony of planting Forget-Me-Nots flowers was done to remember America’s heroic war dead. Speaking at the event was Ms. Rose Forrest, an Iraq War veteran, former U.S. Army Captain, National Guard. She served a 12 month tour of duty in Iraq. In her comments, she was critical of some members of the U.S. Congress for their indifference to the needs of the returning veterans and of U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) for his remark about the U.S. staying in Iraq “for one thousand years.”
The ceremony was performed in the shadow of the American flag that flies at the crest of Federal Hill, overlooking the Inner Harbor.
