What was Congressman Jefferson doing?

Catastrophes USA

I just heard on MSNBC that AP issued a statement that Congressman Jefferson was in NO on Sept. 1, Friday, to check on his constituents. Oh and he took a large military truck and some soldiers to his house to check on it. Seems he loaded a whole lot of things from his house onto the truck that he wished to take out as he left. There were helicopters buzzing overhead all of the time in case he needed help(?). Just wondering if anyone else has heard this and am also wondering what Congressman Jefferson was doing besides being overly concerned about his "constituents".

  • I also heard the same on Tucker Carlson, he said it was from ABC; Guess they’re holding the story... can’t find it. When I find it, I will send it to you. Searched all the local papers last night, will go back now.

    • Thanks!! And he’s a Democrat to boot............ Guess you have to scratch your head and figure party lines do not stop foolish ways.

    • "In an unrelated matter, authorities recently searched Jefferson’s property as part of a federal investigation into the finances of a high-tech firm. Last month FBI officials raided Jefferson’s house as well as his home in Washington, D.C., his car and his accountant’s house.
... A senior federal law enforcement source tells ABC News that investigators are interested in learning if Jefferson moved any materials relevant to the investigation. Jefferson says he did not."

Wheew! That was close. The subject of a criminal investigation used federal rescue resources to visit his home and remove personal belongings. Jefferson may have taken this opportunity to remove incriminating evidence but..."Jefferson said he did not." Boy, am I reassured!
