Where’s the Opposition?

Wars and conflicts Parties Governments USA

Nancy Pelosi says No Plan for Iraq is a good thing. Does this make any sense coming from the "opposition" "leader"?

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said
yesterday ( Jan 06) that Democrats should not seek a unified position
on an exit strategy in Iraq.. differing positions within the caucus are
a source of strength for the party.

That’s the opposition leader in the house.

Harry Reid- the Senate Opposition Leader:

John Kerry- the man who was fighting to take back America because
"Bush is leading us over a cliff." If he really felt that way, why did
he cave so easily? Why didn’t he address the Diebold machines before
the election- he was literally handed the book BlackBoxVoting repeatedly, yet he never mentioned it during the campaign. He charged supporters for yard signs, then ended the campaign with $51 million in the bank. An opposition candidate just like Pelosi and Reid are "Opposition Leaders".

Tom Daschle- anyone remember him? Can you say poodle? Why is it that all the Democratic "leaders" in DC seem to be the most neutered, weak-kneed and gutless politicians of them all? I’m not asking why Daschle is so weak, I’m asking how someone so weak could be elected opposition leader.

Russ Feingold- just introduced a measure for Censure- whoopee. Bush
is spying on American Citizens in direct violation of the Constitution,
he’s installing a Gestapo, taking away free speech, stacking the Courts
with cronies and looting our treasury, and Feingold wants a
slap-on-the-wrist Censure? If the above actions, along with lying to
start a war, hindering the 9/11 investigation, approving torture and
war crimes don’t warrant impeachment, then what does? But Feingold
wants a censure, and now his little Sunday morning stunt is supposed to
be the end of it- they tell us, "see, there’s no support for it" - just
add - "in the corrupt Congress" to make it true.

It brings to mind that Gore Vidal quote:

"Bush was never elected
Not in 2000, and not in 2004.

This is a new game in the world.
Through the magic of electronic voting,
particularly through Mr. Diebold and friends,
you can take a non-president and make him president.
But how to keep the people,
including the opposition who should know better,
so silent,
this introduces us to a vast landscape of corruption
which I dare not enter."

Well, is it time to enter that vast landscape of corruption yet? Or
do we keep allowing the Benedict Arnolds of 2006 to sell our children
down the river?

What about John Conyers- First off, he led the 2004 Vote Fraud and
the Downing Street Memo Investigations- nothing ever came of those. He
seems to take "hair on fire" revelations, and hose them down. He
provides a meaningless forum and sweeps it under the rug - stall,
stall, stall. He actually claims that he can’t introduce articles of
impeachment until Bush releases some key documents, but since Bush is
stalling... yeah right. Maybe he’ll ask for more signatures so he can
deliver them to Mr. Bush again- ooh goody.

And seriously, let’s talk semantics- have you ever watched Conyers?
He induces sleep faster than Ambien. I thought Kerry was boring, but
Conyers takes the cake. Why can’t Dems in DC say hey, "let’s get a
young, vibrant speaker to lead the charge."

I’m not trying to insult Conyers, I’m suggesting that if he really wanted to win, he might consider stepping aside and letting Cynthia McKinney take the lead.
As long as he’s in charge nothing will get done. Maybe I’m wrong, but
that seems to be the case so far. Jan 20th he held the NSA hearing with
explosive testimony, with the witnesses again looking him in the eye
and saying, it’s time to have the courage and act- to hold them
accountable... Conyers listens politely, then does nothing. Maybe he’s
going to take six months to have his staff write another 300 page
report. Oh boy, how many more will be dead before that comes out...

Conyers has been in DC for decades- he’s not fighting the system, he is the system.

Let’s talk about Murtha and Moran- who didn’t even know about the missing trillions-
and to date, they still haven’t apologized to the young woman who they
dismissed like arrogant assholes. Why haven’t they put it up on their
website, "Oh my gosh, it turns out the young lady at our town hall
forum was right the pentagon actually lost $2.3 TRillion dollars. I’m
going to demand an investigation right away." Ha Ha.

There is sooo much evidence....

What about the Bush-Abramoff Connection?
Why hasn’t one single democrat mentioned that for an hour or two of
Bush’s time, the Malaysian Prime Minister had to Pay Abramoff $1.2
Million. Think about that.

And on top of that damning revelation, is the fact that Bush removed
Abramoff’s prosecutor TWICE! In Jan when the heat was on, Bush took the
main prosecutor off the case, again. Yet not a single Dem dares to
mention it.

--------------------------------

Is this collection of fools really the best and brightest America has to offer?

It’s time to re-assess people- the DC Democrats are a total and complete failure.

Should we continue to wait for these pathetic Democrats to grow a spine? Or is something else necessary?

I’m not trying to be rude and insulting. I’m trying to say that our
Congress needs to be disolved, and re-formed with 435 Real Americans.

  • IS THIS COLLECTION OF FOOLS REALLY THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST THAT AMERICA HAS TO OFFER? UNFORTUNATELY, YES. HOWEVER, YOU COULD GO TO QUEBEC AND BEG SOME OF THEIR POLS TO COME DOWN AND RUN, BUT THEY WOULD HAVE TO BECOME CITIZENS AND THAT IS ASKING WAY TOO MUCH OF ANYONE FROM QUEBEC! HEY, THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE, PLAY WITH THE HAND OF JOKERS THAT YOU ARE DEALT OR THROW IN YOUR CARDS.
