The Cannabis Man - The last word.

According to the Cannabis Man this is it.
We have promised all along that this is leading somewhere and we reckon that we’re just about ready to show you where.

So, if you will indulge us for a few more lines then we can get to the nitty gritty of this issue and - hopefully - move on.
By now you probably think you know a bit about this man (after all, if I mention his 13 years of work again I’ll probably hear you scream from here!) but he wants it known that he is distinctly working class - an ordinary bloke - who works for a living, pays taxes, contributes to his community and does most of the stuff that everyone else does in Britain. His difference comes in relation to his plants and his own hopes and aims for the future.

So, in order to conclude we need to set out those aims and hopes:
Firstly he is not - as may be assumed - calling for an instant legalisation of any drug. In fact his desire is for an open debate involving all those with knowledge and skills to share in relation to cannabis so that a genuine consensus can be reached on the best way forward. This means a debate free from prejudice and outdated and outmoded ideas. It would be a debate based on science and understanding and would allow those with something to offer to do so without fear of prosecution. If the results of such a debate were honest and open then legalisation would almost certainly follow - but that is not the starting point.

Secondly he would like a distinction made between those who sell drugs on the street and those who grow cannabis as a plant.
Thirdly he would like to open a debate on other aspects of cannabis and hemp production and an examination of its myriad potential uses.
Fourthly he would like a sensible debate across the drug spectrum. The current practice of lumping all drugs together when dealing with education has proven itself not only totally ineffective but utterly counter productive.
Having destroyed his own plants and dismantled the entire growing operation he wants to take his knowledge out into the world. To this end he has already made some tentative media contacts (with some promising results) and is looking to others from inside or outside the cannabis community who will offer support to his ongoing mission. This could be media support or contacts, legal expertise or just people with the will to stand up for what they believe in.

The end result is simple - The Cannabis Man will stand up and be counted in media and legal terms if there is evidence of support within the cannabis and wider communities. So, if you can help him, offer advice, support or direct assistance then visit his website and drop him a line. Then with a bit of luck, the next time you hear from him he’ll be on the TV fighting the good fight...
Bear in mind at all times that this man has a desire only to help - after all the alternative is for him to resume production and sell the stuff like everyone else and what good is that going to do?
Please show your support and let’s get this show on the road.
