Bush Bull-Headed Warmonger

By Peter Fredson

Last night it was the old George W. Bush that we have come to know and despise. It was the obdurate, head-like-cement, aggressive, unrepentant Bush that loves to kill Muslims for his shrinking Dominionist and Reconstructionist Fundamentalist base. He still thinks that some God advised him to go head with killing rag-heads. And, to leave no one out, Barney and Laura still believe in him

Bush had a stroke of genius in his strategy, let the Iraqis kill Iraqis so we don’t have to kill them there. Let the Iraqis take the blame for letting themselves be colonized, smitten, purged and killed like dogs. As far as diplomacy goes, let’s sent the Black Angel of Death Condi to threaten Iran and Syria, send a war fleet off the coast of Iran to provoke some sort of action which will allow Bush to claim his imperial majesty is threatened. But under no circumstances talk to whoever is “the enemy.” Let your planes and helicopters and warships do the talking for you, let the missiles and cluster bombs teach those rag-heads who is boss.

Let us take over Muslim neighborhoods, smash down their doors and walls, throw grenades into their living rooms, and bulldoze their few remaining possessions. Let us have no talk of leaving, no exit strategy, for that would only give Iraqis hope about our leaving. Let us help Iraqis kill themselves, and if they don’t step up then we will step on them.

As far as the Iraq Study Group is concerned, it was never even considered. Although Bush says he consulted with experts and with Congress, it is difficult to find anyone who might have approved his belligerent stance. Certainly Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, et al, say they were never consulted.

Bush brought up the old theme of his “Brave troops.” It seems he never consulted with any of those people, as their lives count for nothing as opposed to the Bush ego. Bush will continue to say it is all worth it, regardless of how many lives he destroys, how much Iraqi property he destroys, or how many flag-draped coffins come back to the U.S. Cannon fodder boosts the Bush legacy, enhances his image. But take away his limitless hunger for funds and let’s see what happens.

Anyway, Barney probably remains loyal.
