No matter what your position on 9/11...Surprise attack, totally unanticipated to government conspiracy, one fact stands out clearly; The Neocons gained real power as a direct result of the terror strike, and Bush gained temporary respect as a champion of "freedom fighting", and was successful with subesequent streams of lies which, under any other circumstances, would have been purely and simply ridiculed by any idiot with more than mashed potatoes for brains. In addition, Colin Powell was able, with ease, to shove the bad Iraq medicine down the gullible throats of the American electorate. The proof is they "elected" Bush for an incredible second term!
9/11 has grossly rewarded hundreds of companies tied to the military industrial complex, including Halliburton, Blackwater, Custer Battles, KBR, and ALL the major oil corporations. The DOW’s significant surge supports these statements. Of course this is a taboo subject for the MSM. That’s a given.
So 9/11 was a "blessing" in disguise! Despite the enormous damage done to America’s reputation, despite the torture and outrageous collateral damage, despite the 5 million souls who fled the country, and despite the poisoning of the land with DU and disease generated by rotting corpses, malaria, dysentary and chemical spillage....thousands profited beyond the expectations of kings...and perhaps most of all, Dick Cheney!
But wait!..Mr.Dubya Bush, perhaps in anticipation of continued predatory profits..and to secure the opportunity of securing supreme dictatorial POWER, signed a memo which will..under certain 9/11-like circumstances...allow him absolute control over the US of A and all it’s mingled and diverse "unwashed" (as Bush likes to view them). One might even suggest, in a purely UNpatriotic manner, that Bush not only HOPES some enormous catastrophy will strike our fine country...be it a terror attack or a natural "Katrina-like" horror, but might just aid "certain" inner circle pals, ARRANGE for just such an attack.
Bottom line: 9/11 rewarded all the elites and greased the wheels for Neocons to forge ahead with unbelievable power, and ANOTHER such attack, or even a large natural disaster may well seal the deal...and create a power megalopolis and cash machine unknown and undreamed of in the history of our planet.
Can we stop it?

Villy, I think one of the best sources to understand why those who wanted to carry out their Agenda needed a "New Pearl Harbor" is to go directly to the horse’s mouth so to speak and see what they have to say. It is obvious whoever carried out 9-11, they wanted to get IN to Afghanistan to secure the pipeline route and to make the huge dollars that venture would bring from the theft of the American treasury. And then on to Iraq by*linking* and then possibly on to Syria and Iran and maybe who knows where else (before they are stopped). Feel free to speculate who that may have been. Here’s a good link and I would encourage others that want to understand the reasoning from the very characters involved to listen to their OWN words and thoughts and get an idea what was goin on (or not going on) in their heads.
