Mr. President Obama,

The undersigned, based on your slogan “Yes We Can”, hasten to inform you, and the American people, our deep concern about the method you treat and develop the case of Cuban five prisoners and their families, especially in regard to the systematic and continuous refusal to grant temporary visas to Adriana Pérez, wife of Gerardo and Olga Salanueva, the wife of Rene, violating the international human rights law and as well as the Constitution of the United States.

The Cuban five convicted have been treated unfairly and arbitrarily, a fact that was confirmed and denounced by the Working Group on Arbitrary Detentions of the United Nations.

We strongly demand the right of a new trial in any other venue but Miami – Dade in order to achieve plain justice and neutrality and the full respect for human rights in the case of the five Cubans as well as granting entry visas to Olga and Adriana to visit their husbands.

We are part of world public opinion that calls today, everywhere in the world, that justice prevails in this case and for the release of the Cuban five who were fighting against terrorism.

The friends of the Cuban five, both in Lebanon, Palestine and in the world, never stop demanding their release until justice and respect for true human rights will prevail, and we are sure of our victory in the end!.

Long live to the justice and the rights of peoples!

Freedom for the Five Cuban prisoners!
