Pinkerton Academy Headmaster Not Expected To Fulfil Contract

by WireNews+Co - Open-Publishing - Sunday 4 August 2013

Headmaster and school embroiled in historic sex crime cover-up reach out to recruitment agency for quick replacement

Shortly after Pinkerton Academy was made aware of a potential civil claim against the school, stemming from the school’s cover-up of the facts that a former teacher had groomed and sexually abused an under-age student, the school’s headmaster, Mary A. Anderson (shown here) announced, in January 2013, that she would retire.

Later, in April 2013, the board of trustees published a document on the school’s alumni website describing the requirements for the position.

It was widely reported that Anderson would serve until the end of the 2014 school year.

According to Derry Police, who spoke to Anderson recently following the publication by WireNews+Co of the sordid details of the school’s role in the cover-up of a teacher-student sex crime that took place at the school in the 70s, Anderson claims to have reported the incident to "Social Services", but not to police.

No evidence of the Social Services’ report was given to police.

The victim was never contacted by anyone at the school or Social Services, although the Department of Education for New Hampshire has now received a complaint from the victim.

Due to the statute of limitations in New Hampshire, which prevented the victim from filing a complaint, a report was made to police in the United Kingdom, where the victim now lives with his family.

Officer Rachel Roberts, the International/Interpol Officer located in Lancashire England, has confirmed that a formal complaint has now been forwarded to police in the United States. Police in Derry, NH and North Attleboro, MA have been made aware of the complaint.

The former teacher and a representative of the school may be prosecuted in Great Britain.

The former teacher, Diane E. Kanady (formerly Burrell and Foster but known as "Deb" or "Debbie" i.e. Diane E. Burrell) was fired from her position. Debbie later married Mr. Kenneth L. Kanady and now lives in North Attleboro, MA but quite astonishingly continues to have contact with High School students through her Eastern Star Scholarship trust, not to mention her “trusted” position as a “CSA”, working with Mass General Hospital; a status granted by the Society of Certified Senior Advisors.

It was expected that Anderson would serve out her contract until the end of the 2014 school year, but immediately following the filing of the UK complaint, Pinkerton Academy’s Board of Trustees appointed Carney, Sandoe & Associates to locate a replacement for its Headmaster.
