Catch a Bloody Knife

by David Glenn Cox - Open-Publishing - Monday 16 December 2013

The US military will no longer report on the hunger strikers it holds at the concentration camp in Guantanamo. Tick, tock and open up a fresh barrel of ugliness, let us become intoxicated on money liquor and madness. A police officer murders an unarmed bible college honor student; the chief offers the officer has an extensive background in law enforcement, having worked eight different jobs in nine years. The dead shed tears for the living as the living don’t know they’re dead yet.

The occupation forces in Afghanistan report the 16 transport planes purchased by the US tax payer at a cost of $500 million for the Afghan Air force are a total loss. Nearly half have been cannibalized for parts and sit in the weeds, while the culprits sit in soft clover. Misdemeanors in the rape of the innocents, murdering babies in the United States of Wal-mart and before the spring comes, malnutrition for American children will become as common as dandelions. A working single mother with two small children, earning just a bit over minimum wage, never but never, working forty hours per week is entitled to $50 a week in food stamps.

In answer to the expected, anticipated, and gleeful joy at the prospect of starving American children, the Department of Homeland Degradation is spending $80 million for added security measures anticipating food riots. Spending eighty million tax dollars to protect the government from you its citizens! Defense Secretary, Chuck Hagel warns (warns) the Pakistani government, it risks losing aid after Pakistani human beings, block supply routes protesting the slaughter of their brothers, sisters, husbands, wives and children by US drone attacks. This is the mindset of their criminal madness. Money is more important, it’s the money Über Allis philosophy, and if you dare disrupt the schedule of the Gestapo of the skies, we’ll take our revenge in coin.

Only once before in modern human history has a world power begun a ten-year aggressive military campaign, cloaked as defensive war. Murder is the order of the day, blood is the uniform. Shame our badge, eternal its duration. Here is a morsel worthy of a good long savor; on November 1st a CIA drone strike killed the leader of the Pakistani Taliban. The CIA is an intelligence agency, not military, but murders with impunity. No trials, no courtrooms or pesky laws of human decency to slow the process. American Fascism rolls on seeking to rule the world from 30,000 feet with a gun in one hand and checkbook in the other.

Learning from the mistakes of the past, the corporate Fuehrer remains anonymous, never emerging from the bunker, never showing his face or even whispering his name. Instead leaving a hungry, homeless, hapless rabble, to vent their anger upon powerless party play pretties, parrots and puppets. First they came for the factory workers, and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a factory worker. Then they came for the homeowners, and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a home owner. Then they came for the middle class, and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t middle class. Now, they’re coming for the rest.

Government in its essence is supposed to protect the people from harm. So if government becomes the largest stock holder in a large corporation and then acts as an independent arbiter of its bankruptcy, how exactly does that work? Looking down the barrel of “Take it or leave it” the UAW trades hard-fought blood victories for paper stock shares, buying time, as the new factories are already under construction in foreign lands, in the lands of poverty and property. Shifting billions in GM pension’s obligations to the public, shifting its environmental clean up to the tax payer, the second largest auto manufacturer in China, skates away on new skates.

It is sad gallows humor, guillotine humor in disgust of a failing evolutionary test. A Bloomberg poll finds “Barack Obama gets little credit from the public for economic progress under his watch.” Stop! It hurts, no really it hurts. The civilian labor force grew by 455,000 in November and the President deserves credit for 203,000 jobs. Praise, praise, 14 million unemployed when the new administration was seated and today, just five short years later, 10,907,000 unemployed. Plus 2,858,000 discouraged workers and marginally attached or 13,765,000 unemployed, hosanna, hosanna! Fifteen million other Americans labor to pay the rent with only part-time wages.

Catch a bloody knife falling through your life, believe if you will, the party of your choice will save you. Listen if you must, to the media, the ultimate idiot test, things are so much better now, things are improving unless you live here, unless you are here at ground zero of this frozen Stalingrad. Ground down trying to run your car or feed your kids on part-time peasant wages, benign neglect on the half-shell served with heaping helping of adversarial government for the main course. In an all or nothing gambit, they get all and you get nothing. Things are so good, so good, the Federal Reserve only has to print 65 billion new dollars each month to keep the economic charade going. Looting the public coffers, burning the forecastle for just one more day of profit.

With their backs against the door they try with all their might to hold back the eventual, inescapable conclusion. Nero plays with matches to keep the floating crap game called Wall Street burning. Unless you’re wealthy there is no tomorrow, your future is mute. Maybe you don’t believe me, we learn at our own speed, but those of you who already know, you know. Those who don’t, you will. The most dangerous rogue state in the world is the United States of Wal-mart. Our President and Congress are war criminals all and if you support them, so are you. In the end, Fascism always turns on its own, loving only money; they leave no room for humanity by the fire.
