Apartheid Australia: false defamation of anti-racist Jews who support BDS

Open Letter to the Australian Human Rights Commission condemns pro-Zionist anti-Jewish anti-Semitism in Apartheid Australia.

Politically correct racist (PC racist) Apartheid Australia has reached a new low in its world-leading support for Apartheid Israel and by permitting without public challenge the egregiously false defamation of anti-racist Jews critical of human rights abuses by the racist, democracy-by-genocide, rogue state.

Outstanding expatriate Australian humanitarian writer John Pilger has repeatedly condemned a continuing Apartheid in Australia that condemns many Indigenous Australians to appalling Third World living conditions, appalling avoidable mortality and morbidity, appallingly high imprisonment rates, appalling mal-education of children and to special race-based laws that can be summed up in the terms Aboriginal Genocide, Aboriginal Ethnocide and Educational Apartheid (see John Pilger’s 2013 movie “Utopia”).

However racist White Australia has extensive Apartheid policies applied not just to its Indigenous subjects but also variously to non-Indigenous and overseas Australian subjects as summarized below:

1. 2. Australia’s world-leading support (after the USA aka USrael) for Apartheid Israel (just as Apartheid Australia and Apartheid Israel were key supporters of Apartheid South Africa);

Australia’s Educational Apartheid that appallingly cripples Aboriginal education as well as disproportionately excluding the majority of non-rich Australian children from decent education, university, top universities and top courses (see “Educational Apartheid”: https://sites.google.com/site/educationalapartheid/ );

4. 5. Australia’s continued support for US Asian wars (40 million dead from violence or war-imposed deprivation) and the Zionist-promoted War on Muslims (12 million Muslims dead from violence or war-imposed deprivation since 1990);

6. Australia’s exclusion under the former Labor Government of Afghan refugees fleeing the Afghan Genocide and Tamil refugees fleeing the Tamil Genocide – as well as Northern Territory Indigenous Australians – from the protection of the 1975 Racial Discrimination Act;

7. 8. in addition to refugees, overseas Australian subjects, especially children, have been/are subject to criminal neglect in gross violation of UN Genocide Convention, the UN Charter, the Geneva Convention, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Refugee Convention and the Convention on the Rights of the Child e.g. the Iraqi Genocide (5 million deaths from violence or war-imposed deprivation in parenthesis since 1990), and the Afghan Genocide (6 million such deaths since 2001); under-5 infant deaths total 2 million (Iraq, post-1990) and 3 million (Afghanistan, post-2001); 22% of Iraqi children and 55% of Afghan children are stunted due to imposed war;

9. 10. the secret New White Australia Policy discriminates between access to visas between White and Honorary White people on the one hand and Non-White and Poor White people on the other (of course PC racist White Australians would not dream of describing the New White Australia Policy in these terms and indeed would not mention the New White Australia in the first place).

PC racism ensures that Mainstream Australia ignores these realities or sugar coats them with professions of “love’ and “concern” for the victims. Thus in obscene versions of the “Arbeit macht Frei” (“Work makes Freedom”) sign at the entrance to the Nazi death camp Auschwitz, White Australia excuses its maltreatment of refugees in terms of “stopping refugees deaths at sea” and justified genocidal wars as “bringing freedom and democracy” to Asian countries.

PC racism also means that horrible racist epithets such as A—, B----, C--- and N----- applied to non-White Australians in the past are essentially never used in public – indeed in recent years, Australians vilifying non-Europeans on trams and trains using such terms have been prosecuted.

However this political correctness does not extend to protection of some of Australia’s finest humanitarian intellectuals, anti-racist Jews who have overcome tribalism and support Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Apartheid Israel - such anti-racist Jews can be sidelined, censored, blocked and falsely vilified – most notoriously by taxpayer-funded media such as the ABC (Australia’s equivalent of the UK BBC) and the universities-based web magazine The Conversation - as supporting an assertedly “racist”, “anti-Semitic”, “vile”, “detestable”, “Nazi-style” and “repugnant” position of support for BDS against Apartheid Israel.

Thus, for example, Australian Coalition Government Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has repeatedly and falsely declared the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Apartheid Israel to be “anti-Semitic” e.g. as reported by anti-racist Jewish writer Antony Lowenstein “[Bishop stated] It is time for the government leadership to be honest about its position on the anti-Semitic BDS campaign and to take a principled stand against it.” (see: http://antonyloewenstein.com/2012/12/12/another-day-and-murdochs-australian-on-case-of-rampant-anti-semitism-in-our-universities-oh-wait/ ), and as reported by The Times of Israel: “She [Bishop] also strongly condemned the global anti-Israel BDS movement: “[BDS] It’s anti-Semitic. Coalition Senator Eric Abetz (Tasmania): argued in the Senate for “the consideration of a matter - namely, a motion to give precedence to a motion condemning the Australian Greens and their leader for failing to condemn the vile boycott, divestment and sanctions, or BDS, campaign against Israel. Australia rightly celebrates a robust and diverse democracy. That is healthy. What is not healthy and is indeed destructive for our democracy is when leaders failed to condemn that which is vile and detestable, when they fail to call that which is vile and detestable what it is -namely, vile and detestable. There is no description other than ’vile and detestable’ for the BDS campaign against Israel, a campaign shamefully aided and abetted by the Australian Greens. And of course, both Coalition Government and Labor Opposition MPs trot out the egregious falsehood that democracy-by-genocide Apartheid Israel that prevents over 72% of its Palestinian subjects from voting for the government ruling all of Palestine as a “democracy” Thus Michael Danby (Labor, Victoria) “ At the time the Marrickville motion was passed [in favor of BDS] , [Labor] Prime Minister Julia Gillard described it as ’stupid and repugnant’ and said that: Israel is a democracy with whom we have a long-standing relationship … anyone who stands in the way of that is doing the wrong thing” (see (see: http://www.foiwa.org.au/node/428 ) and Kelly O’Dwyer (Liberal, Victoria) “Israel, as we know, is a lone beacon of democracy in the Middle East” (see: http://www.foiwa.org.au/node/428 ).

Silence is complicity and accordingly as an anti-racist Australian intellectual with a Jewish background (to my knowledge all but a dozen of my wider European family died in the WW2 Jewish Holocaust) I have written the following Open Letter to the Australian Human Rights Commission and Australian MPs (copied to media) condemning this ongoing false vilification of anti-racist Jews:

LETTER.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Open Letter to the Australian Human Rights Commission & Australian Federal MPs re false pro-Zionist defamation of anti-racist Jewish Australians in taxpayer-funded media (the ABC, The Conversation).
For anti-racist Jews, and indeed all anti-racist humanitarians, the core moral messages from the Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million dead, 1 in 6 dying from deprivation) and from the more general WW2 European Holocaust (30 million Slav, Jewish and Gypsy dead) are “zero tolerance for racism”, “never again to anyone”, “bear witness” and “zero tolerance for lying”.

However these sacred injunctions are grossly violated by the anti-Arab anti-Semitic racist Zionists running nuclear terrorist, democracy-by-genocide Apartheid Israel and their Western backers variously involved in the ongoing, Zionist-promoted Muslim Genocide (12 million violent deaths from violence or from violently-imposed deprivation since 1990).

Anti-racist Jews are inescapably obliged by their history and their consciences to speak out against the ongoing Muslim Genocide; the ongoing Palestinian Genocide involving, so far, the ethnic cleaning of 90% of the land of Palestine and 2 million Palestinian deaths since 1936 from violence (0.1 million) and from violently-imposed deprivation (1.9 million); and the human rights travesty whereby of 12 million Palestinians, 6 million are forbidden to even step foot in their own country, 4.3 million Occupied Palestinians are highly abusively confined without human rights to West Bank Bantustans (2.5 million) or to the Gaza Concentration Camp (1.8 million), and only 7% (the adults of 1.7 million Palestinian Israelis) are permitted to vote for the government ruling all of Palestine, albeit as Third Class citizens under obscene, race-based, Nazi-style Apartheid laws.

Anti-racist Jews in Australia and throughout the world are in the forefront of those criticizing these horrendous human rights abuses by Apartheid Israel and variously demanding Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Apartheid Israel and all those complicit in its atrocities. However such decent people in Australia and elsewhere are variously subject to egregiously false, public defamation by Zionists and pro-Zionist Mainstream MPs, academics and media that constitutes egregious anti-Jewish anti-Semitism through (a) false conflation of appalling Apartheid Israeli conduct with all Jews, and (b) false defamation of anti-racist Jews, variously as “anti-Semites”, “racists”, “Nazi-like” and “self-hating Jews”.

Such false defamation is particularly obnoxious when it is published by the taxpayer-funded Australian Broadcasting Corporation (the ABC e.g. the Late Night Live radio program website) and by the taxpayer-funded, universities-backed web magazine The Conversation, which both compound the defamation by (a) variously sidelining, censoring and blocking anti-racist Jewish opinion in its own defence while (b) making anti-racist Jewish taxpayers pay for this defamation.

Australia has a long history of an implacable racism that in recent decades has evolved into “politically correct racism” (PC racism) in which Australians fervently declare their commitment to human rights and their love of all Humanity while being variously involved in the following atrocities (deaths from violence or from violently-imposed deprivation in parentheses): post-1950 US Asian wars (40 million), the Iraqi Genocide (5 million since 1990), the ongoing Aboriginal Genocide (2 million since 1788), the ongoing Palestinian Genocide (2 million since 1936), the ongoing Afghan Genocide (6 million since 2001) and the ongoing Muslim Genocide (12 million since 1990).

In PC racist Australia, public use today of the repugnant A, B, C and N epithets in relation to non-White Australians .is unthinkable and rightly utterly unacceptable, but taxpayer-funded media like the ABC and The Conversation continue to publish egregiously offensive and false defamation by Zionists or by pro-Zionist MPs of anti-racist Jews as anti-Semitic racists.

Appallingly, PC racist Mainstream Australia prefers the opinions of genocidally racist Zionists, Apartheiders, war criminals, Zionist subverters of Australian public life, and traitorous Zionists with a prime allegiance to a nuclear terrorist Apartheid rogue state, to the expert and humane opinions of outstanding anti-racist Jewish Australians, ranging from outstanding contemporary Jewish Australian scholars like Professors Peter Singer, Dennis Altman, Eva Cox and Jake Lynch who speak out for Palestinian human rights, to Australia’s most eminent Jewish public figure, Sir Isaac Isaacs, the first Australian-born Governor General of Australia, who declared in 1946: “The honour of Jews throughout the world demands the renunciation of political Zionism.”

Silence is complicity. Apprised of this continuing Mainstream Australian genocidal anti-Arab anti-Semitism and repugnant anti-Jewish anti-Semitism directed at anti-racist Jewish Australians, decent people throughout the world will take action by (a) informing everyone they can, and (b) through urging and applying Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against all those complicit in this continuing, repugnant and evil Australian anti-Semitism. Conclusions.

Extreme right wing, war criminal, climate criminal, human rights–abusing Australia has shifted even further to the right with the election of the far-right, union-bashing, Green-Left-bashing, effective climate change-denialist, Coalition Government. White Australia in the 21st century has a vastly dirtier record than pre-war Nazi Germany in terns of invasion of other countries, gross human rights abuse and toleration of anti-Jewish anti-Semitism.

The words of anti-Nazi hero Pastor Martin Niemoller are extremely relevant to Apartheid Australia in the 21st century:
“First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”

What can decent people do? Decent people must (a) inform everyone they can and (b) urge and apply Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against all those involved in the war criminality, climate criminality, human rights abuse and racism of Apartheid Australia. For decent Australians that means vote 1 Green and put the Coalition last. Would you buy soap made in Auschwitz? Would you buy goods and services from people who tolerate false defamation of anti-racist Jewish scholars?
