55 anti-racist Australian MPs condemn Israel’s Gaza Massacre and war crimes

Apartheid Israel’s Gaza Massacre continues against the 1.8 million of its 4.3 million Indigenous Palestinian subjects who are highly abusively confined to the Gaza Concentration Camp. by democracy-by-genocide Apartheid Israel and its Fascist Egyptian military dictatorship ally

As of 31 July 2014, after 24 days of genocidal Israeli violence, 1,300 Palestinians have been killed, 8,000 wounded, and 215,000 displaced with 1.8 million Gazans – 0.9 million of them children – variously traumatized by Apartheid Israel (or more exactly, Nazi Israel if one accepts that Nazi is as Nazi does) in response to the murder of 3 Israeli settler teenagers killed by persons unknown, and zero (0) Israelis killed by Gaza rockets in the year before the latest Israeli invasion. Indeed 28 Israelis have been killed by Gaza rockets since the start of the Intifada in 2000 [1] or 2 per year as compared to a total of about 130 Israelis murdered by fellow Israelis each year [2].

The Palestinian Genocide has involved 2 million Palestinians killed from violence (0.1 million) or from violently-imposed deprivation (1.9 million) since 1936, the ethnic cleansing of 90% of Mandatory Palestine, and the generation of 7 million Palestinian refugees versus about 3,800 Zionist or Israeli deaths by the “enemy” since 1920 [3]. UNICEF informs that 3,000 under-5 Occupied Palestinian infants die each year and for an impoverished Third World country the avoidable deaths from deprivation are 1.4 times the under-5 infant deaths [4]. Accordingly, each year 3,000 x 1.4 = 4,200 Occupied Palestinians (and an additional comparable number of impoverished Exiled Palestinians) die avoidably from Israeli-imposed deprivation and exclusion, noting that the annual per capita income is a First World $31,537 for Apartheid Israel and a Third World $2,431 for the Occupied Palestinian Territories under the heel of genocidally racist Apartheid Israel [5].

Occupied Palestinians have been unwilling Israeli subjects since 1967 and the repeated Apartheid Israeli Gaza Massacres, the deliberate destruction of crucial Gaza infrastructure, the continuing illegal Occupation, and the deadly blockade of the Gaza Concentration Camp grossly violate the Geneva Convention and in particular Articles 55 and 56 of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War (1950) which state in part:

“Article 55. To the fullest extent of the means available to it, the Occupying Power has the duty of ensuring the food and medical supplies of the population; it should, in particular, bring in the necessary foodstuffs, medical stores and other articles if the resources of the occupied territory are inadequate …

Article 56. To the fullest extent of the means available to it, the Occupying Power has the duty of ensuring and maintaining , with the cooperation of the national and local authorities, the medical and hospital establishments and services, public health and hygiene in the occupied territory, with particular reference to the adoption and application of the prophylactic and preventive measures necessary to combat the spread of contagious diseases and epidemics. Medical personnel of all categories shall be allowed to carry out their duties …” [6].

The ethnic cleansing of 90% of the land of the former Mandatory Palestine by the genocidally racist Israelis, and their continuing mass murder of Occupied Palestinians through violence or imposed deprivation is also in gross violation of Article 2 of the UN Genocide Convention which states: “In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such: a) Killing members of the group; b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group” [7] .

Despite these ongoing Israeli massacres and other egregious violations of International law, Apartheid Israel is backed by the Zionist-subverted US, and its Zionist-subverted UK, EU, Canadian and Australian allies. The US support is the more remarkable because it can be estimated that the long-term accrual cost to Americans of Apartheid Israel and Zionist-backed wars is $40 trillion with this fisal perversion being linked to 16 million preventable American deaths since 2001, but the awful realities behind these horrendous figures are resolutely kept from American Alliance voters by egregiously lying, Neocon American and Zionist Imperialist (NAZI) - perverted and subverted Mainstream media [8].

The lying by commission and omission of the Western Mainstream media, that is so extraordinarily in evidence during this latest Israeli Gaza Massacre, is aided by a score of utterly false Zionist lies (an anagram of Israel is appropriately e-LIARS) , of which the 2 most egregious are that “Israel is a democracy” and that “Hamas is a terrorist organization”. The race-based, racist Zionist-run Apartheid State of Israel is a democracy by genocide. Of about 12 million Palestinians only the adults of 1.7 million Palestinian Israelis (21% of the Israeli population) can vote for the government ruling all of Palestine plus part of Lebanon and a near-completely ethnically cleansed part of Syria, albeit as third class citizens under Nazi-style Apartheid laws. 1.8 million Occupied Palestinians are abusively confined without human rights to the Gaza Concentration Camp and 2.5 million Occupied Palestinians live under highly abusive military rule without human rights in West Bank mini-Bantustans. 72% of Apartheid Israel’s Indigenous Palestinian subjects are prevented from voting for the government ruling all of the former Mandatory Palestine. About 6 million Palestinians are forbidden to even step foot in Palestine. There are 5.9 million Jewish Israelis and 0.3 million non-Jewish and non-Arab Israelis with full human rights [3, 9].

And as for “Hamas is a terrorist organization”, “terrorist is as terrorist does” just “Nazi is as Nazi does”. Since 1936 the racist Zionists have killed 2 million Palestinians though violence (0.1 million) or violently-imposed deprivation (1.9 million). In contrast, a total of 3,800 Zionists or Israelis have been killed by “the enemy” since 1920 [3]. Hamas overwhelmingly won the 2006 Occupied Palestinian elections held under Israeli guns i.e. it has been democratically elected whereas Apartheid Israeli is a democracy by genocide and apartheid, and Israeli state terrorism is second only to US state terrorism [9].

Despite appalling support for genocidally war criminal Apartheid Israel from the leaders of the pro-Zionist, Western Murdochracies , Lobbyocracies and Corporatocracies such as the US, UK , Canada and Australia, many outstanding anti-racist Jewish and non-Jewish intellectuals, including many Nobel Laureates, have spoken out against the ongoing Israeli Gaza Massacre, demanding an arms embargo as was successfully emplaced on Apartheid Israel-backed Apartheid South Africa [10].

While the pro-Zionist, US lackey Australian Coalition Government and the pro-Zionist, US lackey, Labor Right-dominated Australian Labor Opposition are appallingly united in their support for Apartheid Israel, 54 Australian MPs and the former conservative Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser have signed an Open Letter condemning Israeli war crimes in Gaza [11]. This Letter and the names of its decent signatories are reproduced below.

LETTER. 25 July 2014
We the undersigned members of Australian federal and state parliaments, call on all Australian politicians to condemn the ongoing Israeli military bombardment and invasion of Gaza.
We call on Australian politicians to support an immediate cessation of hostilities and a ceasefire deal which includes an end to Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories and to the blockade of Gaza.
We call on all Australian politicians to also support the United Nations Human Rights Council’s decision to launch an independent inquiry into purported violations of international humanitarian and human rights laws in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem.

Over 1200* Palestinians in Gaza have been killed, since Israel started its military attack on Gaza three weeks ago. The United Nations says at least 75 percent of the dead are civilians, including an estimated 168 children. In the last two days, Palestinian children have been killed at a rate of one per hour.
The rockets fired from Gaza are not in any way justified and insofar as they threaten and harm civilians are illegal under international law. However, these imprecise rockets cannot be compared with the broad-scale bombing of Gaza by Israel which has one of the world’s largest military forces.
Collective punishment is not permitted under the Geneva conventions and is a war crime.
Hospitals, places of worship, and a centre for people with disabilities have been among the Israeli military’s targets.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) is providing shelter to more than 102,788 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The international community including Australia has a vital responsibility to put pressure on Israel to end its current military attack on Gaza and broker a solution of justice and peace.

Conclusions.

Occupied Palestinians and all decent folk must take some heart from the condemnation of Israel’s Gaza Massacre by outstanding humanitarians including esteemed Nobel Laureates, by former conservative Australian PM Malcolm Fraser, and by this small group of 54 serving Green, Labor and Independent MPs out of Australia’s total of circa 1,000 State and Federal MPs. Peace is the only way but silence kills and silence is complicity. Decent people cannot walk by on the other side. Nazi is as Nazi does and there must be zero tolerance for Nazi-style Israeli illegal occupation, racist apartheid, mass murder and genocide. On a personal note, after the Nazi German invasion of Hungary in 1944 my family members and the Jewish Hungarian community of which they were a part were subject to illegal occupation, racist apartheid, mass murder and genocide.

Decent people around the world must (1) inform everyone they can about the horrendous lies, human rights abuses and war crimes of Apartheid Israel (Nazi Israel) in its ongoing Palestinian Genocide; (2) demand immediate cessation of murderous Israeli human rights abuse, Exile and Occupation of Palestinians; (3) demand equal rights and one-man-one-vote for all the present subjects of Apartheid Israel in the former Mandatory Palestine; (4) demand justice through the International Criminal Court or through an International Tribunal of the most eminent humanitarians; and (5) urge and apply Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against not just US-, UK-, EU-, Canada- and Australia-backed Apartheid Israel but also, where practicable, against all people, politicians, parties, collectives, companies, corporations and countries complicit in Apartheid Israeli and Zionist-backed US state terrorism in Palestine, the Middle East and indeed throughout the world.
