There is real and verifiable corruption in Washington DC. These facts are all
public knowledge, but the media refuses to put it all together. The
only conspiracy here is that of the media to keep this story buried.

Last year whistleblowers exposed fraudulent practices by Dick Cheney’s (433,000 stock options, $1 million annual paycheck)
Halliburton. Our government gave Halliburton a no-bid contract valid
for 5 years. The top army official recommended an open-bid 1 yr deal,
she was over-ruled and has become a whistleblower.

Halliburton
systematically abused ’cost-plus’ contracts at our expense. James
Warren, trucker, Halliburton whistleblower, and Patriotic American:

"I noticed flatbed trucks were bringing brand-new S.U.V.’s, like Toyota Land Cruisers, Hummers, 4Runners-some of the most expensive S.U.V.’s that money can buy. I saw hundreds of them going to Iraq."

Would you hire someone to shop for you, give them a credit card and
say- "you earn 5% of what you spend." Our government thought that was a
good idea, even after this exact same ’cost-plus’ system was exposed
during WWII by the Truman Committee, saving us $15 billion (more than
$100 billion 2005 $). Warren again:

"A majority of the goods we transported were transported the wrong way. You can’t haul paper towels and napkins on a flatbed when it’s raining and there’s no tarp. We lost millions of dollars of goods that scattered on the roads. Pants, boots, shirts, water.... And we couldn’t stop to pick that stuff up. We told KBR time and again, You can’t haul this stuff on a flatbed-you need it in a container. But they never did change.

With cost-plus contracts, KBR wasn’t losing money- ie big problem. Brand new $85,000 trucks with a flat tire were abandoned. Why did our government set us up to be robbed like this? Why aren’t they investigating and prosecuting this fraud right now?

Congress has excused blatant fraud while the Army continues to give Halliburton more contracts.

More money for fraudsters while education and housing for the poor is cut. Hmmmm.

Get this absurdity: Bush says we’re liberating Iraq and the media repeats it dutifully- so it must be true.

Actually, it turns out that we ’lost’ (stole) $9 billion dollars of Iraqi oil money! ...and the media is silent. Bush appointee Paul Bremer’s CPA lost the money and the response is, oh well, Iraqis are used to corruption anyhow.

This is an outrage! This is the final straw.

United States government officials ’lost’ $9 billion of the
Iraqi’s oil money. These poor people don’t even have clean water or
electricity, while we let somebody escape with $9 billion that could
have been used to help them.

There is no doubt, if we were liberators, we would find the money and
return it to the Iraqis. Bush and the US Congress have shown their
cards- they are pirates! The stolen money is of no concern to them...
but steroids in baseball is big news. Bu$hit.

Bush is sending young Americans to die in Iraq
because he claims "we’re liberating the Iraqis". The blatant theft of
$9 billion and the lack of an investigation proves that our government
is not interested in making life better for Iraqis. We have only
liberated their oil.

People are dying while Dick Cheney’s firm continues to make hundreds of
millions of dollars per month- the longer the occupation, the more
money they make.
This is not a good equation. It is the most blatant conflict of
interest in American History- and Congress refuses to investigate.

The media and Congress investigated Clinton over Gennifer Flowers,
Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky and more- lies about sex. Yet they refuse to investigate Bush or Cheney for lies that started a war killing 100,000 people while making their cronies rich.

Many Americans are under the impression that this kind of corruption
could never happen- that’s what Congress is for. Congress has failed.

Rep. Louise Slaughter just released a report documenting the absurd tactics of our current Congress.
The Republicans have abused their power to new extremes, intentionally
wasting time naming post offices while ramming thru important
legislation before Congress has even read the bill. Often, Lobbyists
actually write the bills and Congress votes without reading them.

Congress is not working- it is a broken, dysfunctional body. Rep. McGovern:

"The House has become a place where trivial issues are debated passionately and important issues not at all."

Last month House Democrats called for hearings on three critical issues:

House Republicans responded by delivering a
hearing on steroids in baseball. Are they earning their $160,000
salary- or should we fire them?
