Let’s keep up the complaining and criticizing. If you can find (or make up) anything that is negative and perhaps helps fuel conspiracy theories start typing. It also helps if you mask it with a "holier than thou" benevolent mission like "speaking for those who cannot speak". Don’t you have anything better to do than perpetuate unfounded, questionable conspiracy theories and lame proclimations of "see, see he did it". GET A LIFE

You must be a Psy Ops agent in post #1 or an investor in Haley Burton or some other firm profiting from the exploitation of the Iraqi people. the American Military or some other person that perhaps believes everything the good media has told us. I know for one that working journalist with factual stories are yet to appear in the mainstream, and oh how much public debate is their, that will show you what is really going on. My family was under the regime of Facism in Italy and Nazim is Germany and I can tell you from newspapers in both Italian and German from that time their was not a WHOLE LOT OF PUBLIC debate either. Funny how corporate dominated profit regimes of illegal wars all SEEM to WORK the same. They DON’T. And like those two regimes this one is also headed for the RECYCLE BIN, the circular one at the corner of your desk. It’s funny how direct evidence of government wrong doing is defended by people who claim that the facts are part of some sort of "conspiracy" theory. Why is it so hard for people to accept that our government is corrupt? I can understand how wild conspiracy theorists should be told to "get a life", however, before one makes such a judgment that person better at least understand what a conspiracy is. A conspiracy theory is based on circumstantial evidence and maybe a vaguely connecting fact here or there. Direct evidence of wrong doing, however, is far from circumstantial.
Maybe its our failing school system, maybe its brainwashing, shit..maybe they’re all on drugs, who knows, but what is for sure is that some to many Americans are incapable of independent thought and self reliability. We would rather trust a government that is blatently corrupt than attempt to bring it down out of fear that maybe, just maybe, our daily routine might change a bit. God forbid we might have to do some work to get our democracy back.

Sometimes "A conspiracy theory is based on circumstantial evidence and maybe a vaguely connecting fact here or there" which is a good point. People take this Downing Memo that has not been acknowledged or confirmed by anyone at the supposed meeting or even the author and are eager to build an impeachment case based on this flimsy piece of paper that has no validated orgin. It has actually only been disavowed by those who have commented and are in the know. Thank goodness professional journalists check their facts and sources before they start drawing conclusions and making allegations. How ironic it is they are chastized by those eager to try and use them to provide credibility to their cause for doing their job the right way. Corrupt government exists pretty much everywhere there IS government some are worse than others. Fortunately in a democracy there is the ability to implement change where a concensus of the "people" exists.

2. The 9/11 Evidence that was not included? Why was the steel wisked of to be destroyed immediately and the security tapes from buildings around the pentagon confiscated? Why? What are they hiding? I mean why the gag order on certain people? I mean if they saw plane crash whats the big deal? WE ALREADY HAVE BE TOLD that a PLANE CRASHED BUT the firemen and the hotel workers are under a gag order? Sounds like a suppresion of facts? Would you suppress evidence to make you innocent in a trail of your character? I think not? Flip it over and see what that seems like, BRAIN?
3. The FOIA documents that are being suppressed? I mean if were at proving points? Maybe GW should release all the documents leading upto the war and the CIA, FBI and others? I mean if the war is just then send copies to the dead solderis familes so they can decide for themselves. You know being all honest and forthright. OK?
4. Don’t forget to send a copy to the media so they can start reporting actually NEWS. YOu know up till now its been a little
flimsy. I mean would you sign your name on the line and be responsible for what was done in Iraq? I mean you really believe it

Yeah, I heard there are these boogeymen in caves that have a global syndicate of evil mastermind drug smugglers, with connections in the middle east. They are using mobile laboratories, with foreign gov. help, and plotting to blow up the US with weapons of mass destruction. But get this, I heard they can deliver a mushroom cloud payload of ricin in 45 minutes. I’ve seen the viles filled with them. We’re talking total annhilation any second now.
Good thing we have our brave soldiers who are out there fighting for our safety every day, I really hope they catch those evil men that want to take away my way of life.
I hope God gets them for me and I really hope the sun comes up tomorrow.

That’s your quote, halfwit. First, it’s not a "memo", it is the minutes of a Downing Street meeting which does rather lend it more credence than the idea that it’s just a memo fired off by the office junior.
Second, it has been explicitly acknowledged and confirmed as genuine by Tony Blair himself.
Three, I am a fully trained journalist and like many others in Britain I have not "disavowed" it and neither has anyone else I know.
Why can’t you people face the simple fact that the chimp in chief may be lying? What is it about this born again mass murderer that forces so many US citizens to leave their brains at home?

No this will have no effect. It will only be a ripple, if that. It has not been covered in any extent in the mass media. A little piece was print that I saw was twisted and gave the impression that Bush and Blair exhausted all of their options and only thought war was the last resort. Selectively cited the story and put a completely opposite meaning and spin to what the minutes stated. David Manning was completely misquoted.
The American citizen wants this war and wants all future wars. It is glory and honor to kill and kill.

America has been built on the "shoot first and ask questions afterwards" principle for years (the wild west and prohibition era are just two examples that spring to mind). Why should the Americans give up such a successful strategy? After all, it has given them everything they have achieved!

I guess you are right, Americans are nothing without murder and rape and theft. They keep a straight face while they pretend to believe all of the lies that their government tells them, its like music to their ears. It gives them another excuse to use up some of their military power and all the better if it is against skinny brown people who have nothing and no one to defend them. For Americans are nothing but cowards and the proof is that the ones yelling the loudest to go to war are always the ones who have never and will never sacrifice anything for the effort. They are all suffering from inferiority complexes as they always have to have someone to be better than, or tougher than, and might always makes right, the true bully mentality.
