Police - Repression Catastrophes USA

Send a message to the soldiers and convince them they are on the wrong side in USA - as well as in Cuba where oppositional workers and intellectuals are sent to rotten in jails for 20-30 years.

In the aftermath of the hurricane Katrina has the political authorities in New Orleans called in military units with the right to shoot and kill desperate people who are trying to find fresh water and food to survive. The authorieties justify the shoot-to- kill order to stop criminal gangs taking advantage of the chaos.

The privileged political elite forgets that it has been a natural catastrophe in New Orleans and the Mississippi area where maybe thousands have been killed and ten thousands just now are desperate to survive. In such a situation is it correct to break in to shops and food stores where people can get what they need most with food and water in bottles. This is not looting, but something else called saving lives.

Will there by gangs out there taking advantage of the situation?

Yes, there probably will be and a small problem when thousands of lives can be saved this way. But more is needed and the ordinary people of US must organize themselves to do the job.

It was known for a week that hurricane Katrina was on its way. The preparation to help people can now be seen by all as close to the level of a poor developing country.

The political authorities in US are more worried about material things such as computers, furnitures, clothes, lamps, and other house equipments than they are about human lives. I call their actions fascism and not democracy, barbary and not solidarity.

The people in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama need rescue and cathastrophe help, not bullets and massacres.

It is impossible for ordinary soldiers to see any difference between
people taking food with help equipments from shops and thieves taking
other commodities.

How on earth is it possible to "plan" and "prepare" for a hurricane of the magnitude of Katrina with below sea level conditions as in New
Orleans without bussing out those with poor and no resources?

The answer can not be found in lack of resources, but lack humanity
for ordinary people from the authorities in power. The interests of
corporations are more important for the authorities than human lives.
The first soldiers were sent to protect shops with TV sets, shoes and
other commodities while sick and old people were dying.

It is time to take a closer look on what caused such priorities. It is not democracy, but something else. And what can we do to change it to something better in USA and elsewhere? We need a world based upon love and solidarity, not powers and values cold as steel based upon
private and statecapitalist dictatorships seen in USA and Cuba.

Nationalism is a blind alley in USA, Cuba, Venezuela, Iraq and
elsewhere. All power to democratic elected workers and popular
councils.
