Within the last two months, the government has tried (once successfully and once not) to confiscate money from my husband’s bank account. We are not the only people who have had this happen to them. My husband went to check his balance and found he was $3.000 short. I researched and found the gov. had said we owed them money, but we don’t. No warning, no letter, etc. They just took the money. I then found out they were planning to take another $2.000. We got an attorney and put a stop to it. I told my husband to figure out a way to close his account and soon. While talking to a friend about this, our friend’s own brother got $10.000 taken recently!!!. They definitely know when people usually get their big deposits and then take the money. By the way, the gov. has the second check that was issued from our bank for $2,000 sitting in their office and refuses to return it to the court, saying they don’t have it. We are all screwed and can be wiped out at any time without them caring what happens.
