> Homeland Security To Confiscate Bank Safe Deposit Box Contents

31 January 2006, 00:35

For the second time in 3 days I visited with a BofA branch manager and asked if she or the bank had received any instructions from Homeland Security on how to handle access to safety deposit boxes in a national emergency." In both cases, the replies were NO. I then showed her a copy of the article and ask for her comment. In the second case, at our branch, the manager called the legal department in my presence and read the article to whomever. The reply was basically that "whomever" had heard nothing about it. I then suggested that this article could damage BofA’s name and that they ought to run it to ground, and the manager seemed to agree with me. Our visit lasted abut 20 minutes. I left her with a letter with a copy of the bellaciao article and a cover letter requesting an investigation of the report and a reply with their findings. May I suggest others take similar action, even just a letter to your BofA branch requesting investigations and a reply.
