Dear Dr Gideon - I am looking at this after seeing your New Matilda comment on MArtin’s piece. Nothing (including his article) went near to making sense until I found your comment. I have yet to absorb the detail but make the comment that Apartheid was destroyed by armed force (Cuba had thousands of soldiers in Africa helping liberation struggles) with some assistance from boycotts etc.
I would like to correspond more with you if possible. Presently I am in Thailand but am considering visiting Sydney in November when Nom Chomsky visits to receive the Sydney Peace Prize. I suggest that be a good time & place to do a lot of activism - only 100km or so from Australia’s biggest coal export port.
