> The Great New Orleans Land Grab-The 17th Street Canal levee was breached on purpose

You are right. Those who finance large operations are vital, and not to be easily smeared by the wishful "have-nots".

You are also wrong. Consider and compare the morality of the Roman citizens 400 B.C. and 200 A.D. Historically, all freedom has deteriorated into luxury (the proper results of a free people), which then deteriorates into Empire, as those who can "add house unto house" (i.e., amass more wealth than they can use) become intoxicated by the process and can no longer stymie the process. This then becomes what anyone who has read a modicom of the Fall of Rome, provides the pattern which the USA seems hell-bent upon imitating.

It works to a point. Back to morality; I see in the eyes of Joe on the street how confident/guilty/hopeful/loving his morality will allow him to be. Yes, great men with great means are vital to our country. The signs are seen in the condition of the gutters.

And the great men today? Where are they?

Do not support what you do not know, and you won’t have to defame what you do. A wise man is silent in a time of evil.

peace,
