L’attentat contre Rafik Hariri avait déclenché une telle campagne médiatique et politique contre la Syrie qu’on ne pouvait s’empêcher de penser que tout cela servait trop bien les intérêts américains ; d’autant plus qu’il s’ensuivit toute une autre série d’assassinats toujours attribués a la Syrie .
En terme de géopolitique , tout cela ne collait pas : à moins d’imaginer chez les dirigeants syriens de fortes tendances suicidaires que leur replis successifs viennent contredire ; par contre les victimes de ces différents attentats pouvaient représenter une gêne objective pour les intérêts américano-israéliens : renforcement de la présence sunnite pour Hariri et ouverture d’un axe libano-européen ;règlement du problème palestinien et défense du droit au retour pour les autres . Dans le même temps on libérait des chefs des milices chrétiennes dont le général Haoun (milices impliquées dans de nombreux massacres dont Sabra et chatilla )
On assistait également aux scênes préfabriquées des révolutions multicolores à la mode de l’Ukraine ou de la Géorgie ! Le récent reportage de Canal plus , le 17 octobre 2005, sur ces révolutions a clairement montré le rôle des USA.
Par ailleurs la deuxième guerre d’Irak et la tromperie réitérée des armes de destruction massive nous ont clairement démontré que les américains n’en sont pas à une mystification prés, ni à quelques milliers de cadavres prés !
Aussi lorsque le rapport Mehlis est venu étayer la piste Syrienne il m’a paru intéressant de trouver des infos sur ce procureur providentiel .Le compte rendu d’une émission allemande de 1998 (fait en 1998 , et donc non instrumentalisé pour la situation présente) m’ a paru fort interessant , d’autant plus que l’on peut y trouver le même scénario que dans le rapport Mehlis .Je vous livre ci joint le lien vers la page internet ,le texte en anglais et la traduction par mes soins de l’essentiel du texte

German TV exposes CIA, Mossad links to 1986 Berlin disco bombing

A documentary broadcast August 25 by German public television presents compelling evidence that some of the main suspects in the 1986 Berlin disco bombing, the event that provided the pretext for a US air assault on Libya, worked for American and Israeli intelligence.
The report, aired by Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF television), is of the greatest relevance to events of the past three weeks, in which attacks on US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania have become the justification for US missile strikes against Afghanistan and Sudan, and a shift in American foreign policy to an even more unbridled use of military force internationally.
With Washington declaring "war against terrorism" and arrogating to itself the right to use its military might unilaterally against any target anywhere in the world, the German TV report raises the most serious and disturbing questions. All the more so, since the US media and leading Republican politicians, within hours of the American embassy bombings, began citing Reagan’s 1986 air attack on Libya as an exemplary response to terrorist attacks, and pressed Clinton to carry out similar military action.
The air strike on Libya
On April 15, 1986 US war planes bombed the Libyan cities of Tripoli and Benghazi. They destroyed the home of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi and killed at least 30 civilians, including many children. Gaddafi himself, the main target of the air strike, was not hurt.
Two hours later President Ronald Reagan justified the unprecedented attack on a sovereign country and its head of state in a national television address. The US, Reagan claimed, had "direct, precise and irrefutable" proof that Libya was responsible for a bomb blast in a West Berlin discotheque. The explosion 10 days earlier at the disco La Belle, a favorite nightspot for US soldiers, had killed three people and injured 200.
Since November of 1997 five defendants have been on trial in a Berlin court for their alleged involvement in the La Belle attack. But in the course of more than half a year the case has proceeded very slowly. ZDF television, which carried out its own investigation into the case, explained why in the August 25 documentary produced by its political magazine Frontal.
What the German documentary reveals
The Frontal report arrives at the following conclusions :
1) The lead defendant presently on trial, Yasser Chraidi, is very possibly innocent, and is being used as a scapegoat by German and American intelligence services.
2) At least one of the defendants, Musbah Eter, has been working for the CIA over many years.
3) Some of the key suspects have not appeared in court, because they are being protected by Western intelligence services.
4) At least one of those, Mohammed Amairi, is an agent of Mossad, the Israeli secret service.
The man charged with being the mastermind of the La Belle attack, 38-year-old Yasser Chraidi, was a driver at the Libyan embassy in East Berlin in 1986. He later moved to Lebanon, from whence he was extradited to Germany in May 1996.
Frontal interviewed the two Lebanese responsible for the extradition of Chraidi : the former public prosecutor Mounif Oueidat and his deputy Mrad Azoury. Both confirm that the German authorities used deceit to have Chraidi extradited.
According to Azoury, he received no evidence that Chraidi was actually involved in the attack ; there were only "hints." Oueidat states that the Germans showed tremendous interest in getting Chraidi. "The Americans were behind this demand," he says. "This was obvious. They spurred on the Germans to speed up the extradition."
Eventually Chraidi, declared to be a "top terrorist," was flown to Germany in a spectacular security operation. But a Berlin judge found the evidence presented by the prosecution so weak, he threatened to release Chraidi within three weeks unless more proof was presented.
At this point another man was brought into the case, who, according to Frontal, "was obviously supposed to be spared by the prosecution until then." On September 9, 1996, the very day the Berlin judge threatened to release Chraidi, Berlin public prosecutor Detlev Mehlis, Berlin police inspector Uwe Wilhelms and a Mr. Winterstein of the German Federal Intelligence Service (BND) met Musbah Eter in the Mediterranean island state of Malta.
CIA involvement
The meeting had been prepared by the BND, which maintains close connections to its American counterpart, the CIA. Musbah Eter was running an international business in Malta, which, according to Frontal, served as a cover for extensive intelligence operations on behalf of the CIA.
The German authorities wanted him on a murder charge. But during the Malta meeting a deal was struck : "Immunity for Eter, if he incriminates Chraidi for La Belle." The next day Eter went to the German embassy and testified. As a result, the warrant against him was scrapped and he was allowed to travel to Germany.
In the words of Frontal, Eter is "the key figure in the La Belle trial." At the time of the disco bomb attack he worked for the Libyan embassy in East Berlin. But he paid regular visits to the US embassy. According to Christian Ströbele, the lawyer for Chraidi, this highly unusual fact is proven by extensive notes of the East German secret police, who watched Eter very closely at the time.
There are many indications that Eter was actively involved in the La Belle bombing. According to interrogation transcripts studied by Frontal, he had the detailed knowledge of a participant. He even admitted that he brought the operating instructions for the bomb to the flat of a codefendant.
Frontal asserts that besides the defendants in the present trial, another group was involved in the La Belle bombing—a group of professional terrorists, working for anybody who paid them, led by a certain "Mahmoud" Abu Jaber. Members of this group, according to Frontal, "have barely been bothered by the prosecution and live securely in other countries."
In the months preceding the La Belle attack they lived in East Berlin and met, almost on a daily basis, with the present defendants. Hours before the attack they moved to West Berlin, where the bomb exploded. Their movements were monitored by the East German and Russian secret services, who concluded that they were working for Western intelligence.
The Russian KGB, in a document cited by Frontal, gave the opinion that American counterintelligence planned to use "Mahmoud" to concoct a case for the involvement of Libyan terrorists in the attack. According to the same KGB document, "Mahmoud" had warned West Berlin intelligence two days before the explosion.
Frontal followed the traces of Mohammed Amairi, the right-hand man of "Mahmoud" Abu Jaber, who, according to the documents it has studied, "was particularly involved in the preparation of the La Belle attack."
An agent of Mossad
Amairi left Germany for Norway in 1990, when a warrant was issued for his arrest. He now lives in the Norwegian town of Bergen, where Frontal found and interviewed him. He stopped the interview when he was asked what secret service he had been working for. His lawyer, Odd Drevland, finally told the story.
When Amairi moved to Norway he was arrested and branded "a danger to the country" on the front page of tabloids. But then the Israeli secret service Mossad took charge of him and "everything changed."
"Was Amairi a Mossad agent ?" asked Frontal. "He was a Mossad man," answered Drevland.
In the meantime, Norway has granted asylum to Amairi and he will soon receive Norwegian citizenship. The Berlin prosecutor has lifted the warrant against him.
"These secret service intrigues present a task for the Berlin court that is almost insoluble," concludes the Frontal report. "But one thing is certain, the American legend of Libyan state terrorism can no longer be maintained."
There are striking parallels between the 1986 bombing of Libya and last week’s missile strikes against targets in Sudan and Afghanistan. Once again Washington claims to have "proof" to justify its use of deadly force. But as the Frontal report shows, such claims cannot be trusted. Twelve years after the bombing of Libya, Reagan’s proof turns out to be anything but irrefutable. Instead there is powerful evidence that the La Belle attack was a carefully prepared provocation.
It may come as a shock to many Americans, all the more so given the utterly venal and lying role of the US media, but US intelligence services are well versed in the most unscrupulous and bloody methods, not excluding those that result in injury or death to Americans. No serious consideration of the August 7 East African bombings can rule out the possibility of a provocation, organized either directly or indirectly by US agencies.
Certainly the US embassy bombings, with their terrible human toll—for the most part, African—provided a welcome pretext for forcing through a desired shift in policy and obtaining public support for unilateral military action. Indeed, within hours of the US embassy bombings, the International Herald Tribune had published a column declaring the attacks were "acts of war and the United States could take reprisals against the bombers under international law without the approval of the United Nations."
We wait with interest to see whether any of the American television networks—CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN—or any of the establishment newspapers will even take note of the German exposé of the events surrounding the bombing of Libya. We have no expectation that they will.

Une émission documentaire août 25 par la télévision publique allemande démontre que certains des suspects principaux dans le bombardement en 1986 de la discothèque La Belle de Berlin, événement qui a fourni le prétexte pour un assaut aérien des USA sur la Libye,ont travaillé pour les services américains et israéliens.
Le rapport, présenté par Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (télévision de ZDF), est de plus grande importance pour comprendre les événements des dernières trois semaines, où les attaques sur des ambassades des USA au Kenya et en Tanzanie ont justifié des frappes de missiles US contre l’Afghanistan et le Soudan, et une évolution de la politique étrangère américaine vers une recours bien plus important à la force militaire
Alors que Washington déclare la "guerre contre le terrorisme" et s’ arroge le droit d’employer ses forces unilatéralement contre n’importe quelle cible n’importe où dans le monde, l ‘enquéte de la TV allemande soulève les questions les plus sérieuses et les plus inquiétantes. D’autant plus que les médias des USA et les principaux politiciens républicains , dans les heures qui ont suivi les bombardements américains d’ambassades, ont commencé à citer l’attaque aérienne de Reagan en1986 sur la Libye comme une réponse exemplaire aux attaques de terroristes, et ont pressé Clinton d’agir de même.
L’attaque aérienne sur la Libye
Avril 15, 1986 des avions de guerre des USA ont bombardé les villes libyennes de Tripoli et de Benghazi. Ils ont détruit la maison du Chef libyen Muammar Gaddafi et ont tué au moins 30 civils, y compris beaucoup d’enfants. Gaddafi lui-même, la cible principale de l’attaque aérienne, n’a pas été blessé.
Deux heures plus tard le Président Ronald Reagan a justifié l’attaque sans précédent sur un pays souverain et son chef d’Etat dans une adresse nationale à la télévision. Les USA,a déclaré Reagan , ont eu la preuve "directe, précise et irréfutable" que la Libye était responsable d’une explosion dans une discothèque de Berlin-Ouest. L’explosion 10 jours plus tôt à la La Belle, un nightclub pour des soldats US, avait tué trois personnes et fait 200 blessés.
Depuis novembre 1997 cinq accusés ont été mis en examen par une cour de Berlin pour leur participation dans l’attaque de La Belle . Mais depuis plus de six mois l’enquète a piétiné .La Télévision ZDF, qui a effectué sa propre recherche sur le cas, explique pourquoi dans ce documentaire du 25 aout produit par son bureau politique .
Ce que le documentaire allemand indique
Le magazine Frontal arrive aux conclusions suivantes :
1) le principal accusé actuellement sur l’épreuve, Yasser Chraidi, est très probablement innocent, et est employé en tant que bouc émissaire par des services secrets allemands et Américains.
2) au moins un des accusés, Musbah Eter, avait travaillé pour la C.i.a plusieurs années.
3) certains des suspects principaux ne sont pas apparus devant le tribunal, parce qu’ils sont protégés par des services secrets occidentaux.
4) au moins l’ un d’eux, Mohammed Amairi, est un agent de Mossad, le service secret israélien.
L’homme chargé d’être le cerveau de l’attaque de La Belle, 38-year-old Yasser Chraidi, était un conducteur à l’ambassade libyenne à Berlin Est en 1986. plus tard il s’est déplacé au Liban, d’où il était extradé en Allemagne en mai 1996.
Frontal a interviewé les deux Libanais responsables de l’extradition de Chraidi : l’ancien procureur public Mounif Oueidat et son député mrad Azoury. Tous les deux confirment la duperie utilisée par les autorités allemandes pour extrader Chraidi .
Selon Azoury, il n’y a aucune preuve que Chraidi a été impliqué réellement dans l’attaque ; il y avait seulement des "conseils." Oueidat déclare que les Allemands ont montré un énorme intérêt à inculper Chraidi. "les Américains étaient derrière cette demande," dit-il. "c’était évident. Ils ont incité les Allemands à accélérer l’extradition."
Par la suite Chraidi, avoué pour être "un terroriste supérieur," a été enlevé vers l’ Allemagne dans une opération spectaculaire de sécurité. Mais un juge de Berlin a trouvé les preuves présentées par la poursuite si faible qu’ il a menacé de libérer Chraidi dans un délai de trois mois à moins que plus de preuves ne soient présentées.
C’est alors qu’ un autre suspect apparaît dans l’affaire, suspect qui, selon Frontal , "avait été évidemment ignoré par la poursuite jusque-là." Le 9 Septembre 1996, le jour même où le juge de Berlin a menacé de libérer Chraidi, le procureur public Detlev Mehlis de Berlin, l’inspecteur de police Uwe Wilhelms et M. Winterstein du service d’intelligence fédéral allemand (BND) ont rencontré Musbah Eter dans l’état méditerranéen de Malte.
Participation de la C.i.a
La réunion avait été préparée par le BND, qui maintient d’ étroites relations avec sa contre-partie américaine,la CIA. Musbah Eter travaillait dans le commerce international à Malte,ce qui, selon Frontal , a servi de couverture aux opérations de la C.i.a.
Les autorités allemandes voulaient l’inculper sur une charge de meurtre. Mais pendant la rencontre de Malte un accord a été conclu "immunité pour Eter, s’il incrimine Chraidi pour La Belle." Le jour suivant Eter est allé à l’ambassade allemande et a témoigné. En conséquence, la garantie contre lui a été conclue et il lui a été permis de voyager en Allemagne.
Selon Frontal , Eter est "la figure principale dans l’enquéte de La Belle ." Au moment de l’attaque de la discothèque, il travaillait pour l’ambassade libyenne à Berlin Est. Mais il effectuait des visites régulières à l’ambassade des USA. Selon Christian Ströbele, l’avocat de Chraidi, ce fait trés troublant est prouvé par les notes de la police secrète Est-allemande, qui surveillait alors Eter très étroitement .
Il y a beaucoup d’indications qu’Eter a été activement impliqué dans l’attentat de La Belle . Selon des transcriptions d’interrogatoire étudiées par Frontal , il connaissait bien l’un des participants. Il a même admis qu’il a apporté les consignes d’utilisation pour la bombe à l’appartement d’un co-accusé.
Frontal affirme que, en plus des actuels accusés, un autre groupe a été impliqué dans l’attentat — un groupe de terroristes mercenaires, mené par un certain "Mahmoud" Abu Jaber. Des membres de ce groupe, selon Frontal, "ont été à peine tracassés par la justice et vivent confortablement dans d’autres pays."
Lé mois précédant l’attaque ce commando a habité à Berlin Est et s’est réuni, presque quotidiennement, avec les accusés actuels. Quelques Heures avant l’attaque ils se sont déplacée à Berlin-Ouest, où la bombe a éclaté. Leurs mouvements ont été surveillés par les services secrets est-allemands et russes, qui ont conclu qu’ils travaillaient pour des services occidentaux.
Le KGB russe, dans un document cité par Frontal , a donné l’opinion que la CIA a projeté d’employer "Mahmoud" pour justifier l’implication de terroristes libyens dans l’attaque. Selon le même document de KGB, "Mahmoud" avait averti les services de Berlin-Ouest deux jours avant l’explosion.
Frontal a suivi les traces de Mohammed Amairi, bras droit d’"Mahmoud" Abu Jaber, qui, selon les documents étudiés, "a été particulierement impliqué dans la préparation de l’attaque de La Belle."
Un agent de Mossad
Amairi a quitté l’Allemagne pour la Norvège en 1990, quand un avis de recherche a été publiée pour son arrestation. Il vit maintenant dans la ville norvégienne de Bergen, où Frontal l’a trouvé et interviewé. Il a arrêté l’entrevue quand lui a été demandé pour quel service secret il avait travaillé. Son avocat, Drevland , a malencontreusement laché le morceau .
Quand Amairi déplacé en Norvège a été arrêté et stigmatisé "d’un danger au pays" sur la une des tabloids, alors le service secret israélien Mossad l’ a pris en charge et "tout a changé."
" Amairi était-il agent du Mossad ?" demande Frontal . "il était un homme du Mossad," répond. Drevland
