Alla fine Don Gallo ha detto no. Dopo la ridda di voci e il moltiplicarsi di commenti sulla sua candidatura alle primarie (sponsorizzata in primis dai disobbedienti Casarini e Caruso ma accolta con qualche «imbarazzo» da Rifondazione, come dice lo stesso Dan Gallo), il prete “no global” annuncia ufficialmente di rinunciare alla corsa. Non sarà lui il candidato senza volto dei movimenti.

Una sera in un grande dibattito a Parigi ero uno dei pochi completamente d’accordo con i due contraddittori, Baudrillard e Virilio, che pure erano d’accordo nel dire che le coppie funzionano così, la crisi dell’est è anche l’inizio della crisi del poloovest, tutto il discorso ormai banale sulla carenza da nemico. Mi scuso se spesso divento aggressiva, anche se sono una pacifista ma non ho fatto voto di silenzio e non sono per niente pacifica, ormai ho dei nervi coperti che saltano ogni volta che una frase di profonda ipocrisia, mi fa sobbalzare. E comincio a non poterne piu’ di fascisti, di berlusconiani, di runiani, di periani e di altri mostri simili.

Ho sentito qualcuno che si crede di sinistra violentare la figura di Gandhi, affermando che grazie a lui l’India ha le caste e usando questa eresia per attaccare la non violenza che da un po’ fa parte del pensiero di Bertinotti.
E spesso sento insultare il metodo della non violenza come inefficace per una lotta politica e i no global che ne sono portatori come degli illusi incapaci.
La cosa mi sta disturbando, per cui sento oggi la necessita’ di riproporre la (…) -

Il 23 agosto 1927, alle ore 0,19 veniva giustiziato sulla sedia elettrica Nicola Sacco. Alle 0,26 toccava a Bartolomeo Vanzetti subire lo stesso destino.
Ma la storia di Sacco e Vanzetti, i due emigrati italiani accusati negli Stati Uniti di aver preso parte ad una rapina uccidendo un cassiere e una guardia nonostante le prove evidenti della loro innocenza, non si chiudeva con la loro esecuzione.

Per Aldo Bonomi, in un recente congresso dei Ds milanesi, la funzione storica dei centri sociali è esaurita.
