NATIONALLY-COORDINATED DAYS OF ACTION

by Open-Publishing - Thursday 8 April 2004

Friday, April 9 - Monday, April 12

From Friday, April 9 through Monday, April 12 there will
be nationally-coordinated emergency local demonstrations
in cities and towns throughout the country. Thousands will
demand U.S. OUT OF IRAQ, Bring the Troops Home Now and
Money for jobs, education and healthcare - Not for wars of
aggression in response to a call initiated by the
A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition.

The revolt sweeping Iraq in opposition to foreign
occupation has resulted in the White House and Pentagon
ordering a reign of terror against all those who defy U.S.
dictates. Hundreds of Iraqis have been killed. A large
number of U.S. troops have also died. And there is no let
up in sight. The Iraqi people want the U.S. occupation to
end and the U.S. troops and their families increasingly
demand that the U.S. leave Iraq. The war and occupation
have been justified with lies and deceit by the
administration. On March 20, hundreds of thousands of
people in the United States and millions around the world
took to the streets in opposition to the Bush
administration. The current crisis in Iraq is again
stimulating protests around the country and around the
world.

Please see below for details about how you can get
involved - join the demonstration in your city, help to
spread the word, and if there is no demonstration planned,
begin to organize one now! Protests are planned throughout
the East Coast, West Coast, Midwest and South, including
in Augusta, ME; Binghamton, NY; Buffalo, NY; Charlotte,
NC; Chicago, IL; Ferndale, MI; Grand Rapids, MI; Kingston,
NY; Long Island, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Massachusetts, MA;
Middletown, NY; New York, NY; San Diego, CA; San
Francisco, CA; and Washington, DC.
