Lesley Stahl on U.S. sanctions against Iraq: We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that’s more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?
Secretary of State Madeleine Albright: I think this is a very hard choice, but the price—we think the price is worth it. 60 Minutes (5/12/96)

Is the Congressional Leadership AFRAID of the Bush Crime Family?
26 January 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
5 commentsJ. Clifford Baxter Found dead in his car, shot in the head. Mr. Baxter was vice chairman of Enron Corp. when he resigned in May 2001. Enron has been hot copy lately with the revelation that they were the largest campaign contributors for George W. Bush. Was J. Clifford Baxter a potential witness to Bush foreknowledge of their wrongdoings? His death was ruled a suicide.

Arrest that man!
25 January 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
4 commentsI’d like to request that the Washington, D.C. police arrest G.W. Bush for criminal negligence, aggravated voyeurism, illegally deporting 150,000 American citizens to kill and be killed in a foreign country, and holding American and foreign citizens hostage without charging them with anything and withholding their civil and legal rights.
There is also probable cause that this individual has authorized torturing citizens around the world. If he is not arrested immediately, the chances of (…) -
Stop the War Against Iran Before It Starts!
25 January 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
7 commentsEvery day new stories in the media add to an increasingly horrifying trend preparing world opinion for a military onslaught against Iran. The propaganda war against Iran ”based on blatant untruths, half-truths, double standards and distortions” acts as a basis to confuse the public and intimidate potential voices of opposition against a new war in the Middle East. In the absence of strong opposition to their threats against Iran, the governments of the US and Israel speak openly of military (…)

The End of ’Unalienable Rights’
25 January 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
2 commentsEvery American school child is taught that in the United States, people have “unalienable rights,” heralded by the Declaration of Independence and enshrined in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. Supposedly, these liberties can’t be taken away, but they are now gone.
Today, Americans have rights only at George W. Bush’s forbearance. Under new legal theories - propounded by Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito and other right-wing jurists - Bush effectively holds all power over all (…) -
Why the “Free State” of Maryland Isn’t So “Free!”
25 January 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
The governor of Maryland receives an annual salary of $150,000 for fulfilling his official duties. Nevertheless, the incumbent office holder, Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr., a Republican, and Pavlovian lapdog for the warmongering President George W. Bush, raised $4.6 million last year for his November 7, 2006 reelection efforts. The two Democratic wannabes, Martin O’Malley and Douglas M. Duncan, raised a combined $5.6 million in 2005, in their quests for the same governorship. I say a plague on all (…)

What were SPLA Rebels doing on 9/11 ?
25 January 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
11 commentsWhat were a cadre of Sudanese People Liberation Army rebels doing on the morning of 9/11 ? Posing as journalists they dropped by the Florida resort where US president George W. Bush was staying - just hours before Bush and his entourage arrived at Booker Elemmentary where he received word that the 9/11 attacks had commenced .
SPLA was a Christian fundamentalist /neoconservative backed rebel group . lead by John Garang, attempting to seize power in Khartoum. These "journos" were (…) -
Pesticide Tests on Humans Approved by EPA

Pesticide Tests on Humans Approved by EPA
In yet another example of how America’s industrial giants together with Federal Health officials "protect" the safety and health of its citizens, the EPA has now determined guidelines which will allow testing of insect poisons on humans too.
Shocking? - not really - especially considering how dispensation of various toxins to people has been happening for quite some time in the U.S. Consider the carcinogen Aspartame - although banned in Japan, (…) -
CONSIDERATION

CONSIDERATION
By Peter Fredson
January 24, 2006
I wonder if President George Bush has ever thought about what his actions reflect, or what consequences will result? Does Bush ever deliberate, reflect, or contemplate? Does he ever recite a little mantra to help his mind instruct his body? Does Bush ever show concern, compassion, respect, sympathy toward other people, other cultures, other religions?
Although I have been a Bush watcher for several years I find no trace of concern for (…)
