Congressman Jerrold Nadler, Chairman of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties, said today that there is no question that the warrantless wiretaping engaged in by the Bush Administration is a felony offense and that the President and Attorney General engaged in a criminal conspiracy worse than Watergate. Nadler was referring not to the mysterious program that the Acting Attorney General refused to support, but rather to the (…)

Wall Street Journal’s Looking Glass World
11 June 2007by Stephen Lendman
She’s at it again on the Journal’s editorial page in her June 4 article called "The Young and the Restless," subtitled "Is this the beginning of the end for Hugo Chavez?" The writer is self-styled Latin American expert Mary Anastasia O’Grady always getting top grades in vilification and disinformation but failing ones on regional knowledge and legitimate journalism.
This time she may have overstepped. Her article wreaks with disinformation, outright lies, and most (…) -

The most recent AP report on U.S. casualties in Afghan war indicates that the deaths now stand at 333 (as of June 7). The civilian casualties in Afghanistan from January of this year through June have been reported to be from 320 to 380 killed. May, a particularly deadly month for Afghan civilians, saw an equal number of deaths from U.S. or NATO forces and the Taliban. It was reported that "They include about 135 killed by U.S. or NATO action, a figure that could also (…) -
Lies, Damn Lies, and Lies that Unleash Hell
11 June 2007By Jason Miller
Each day untold millions of US Americans unwittingly immerse themselves in an intellectual, social, cultural, economic, political and spiritual cesspool so rancid and toxic that even microbes with the most voracious appetites for human waste, vomit, and inanimate flesh would shun this infinitely repulsive sewer.
Many highly qualified and intelligent researchers, analysts, and authors have written books, essays, and reports documenting the astounding multitude and variety (…) -
Revolution, if not now, when?
11 June 2007by David R. Hoffman
Perhaps the most ironic thing about modern day America is the realization that, even though the nation was created through revolution, talk of revolution is almost nonexistent. This is perplexing, particularly since many of the conditions that fueled revolutionary rhetoric during the Nixon era of the late 1960s and early 1970s have reappeared today.
During Nixon’s presidency America was mired in Vietnam—fighting a war on foreign soil that was fabricated on nothing but (…) -
The Real Danger behind US ABM Deployment in Eastern Europe
11 June 2007Recent disinformation by the western media about Russia starting a new Cold War not only masks the threat of a US Anti-Ballistic Missile shield deployment but, as always, projects the blame on the victim, Russia.
The US missile shield must be understood in the context of its geo-strategic nuclear deployment. Far from being defensive, its ultimate purpose is to obtain such an unassailable advantage over any other nuclear power as to be able to threaten any would-be opponent with nuclear (…) -
