What would you say if a known terrorist was about to be freed on $350 thousand dollar bail? Would it anger you? Of course it would if this country truly believes in capturing and punishing terrorists. What would be your reaction if this was the last recorded message made by a pilot of a downed air plane, “We have an explosion aboard, we are descending immediately! ... We have fire on board! We are requesting immediate landing! We have a total (…)

Both Pres. Bush and Congress will keep our troops in Iraq
11 April 2007Both Pres. Bush and Congress will keep our troops in Iraq By Mary MacElveen April 10, 2007
In this Countdown feed it is becoming evident that President Bush will get his way as it pertains to the handling of this war. I do believe as Keith Olbermann does that the senate Democrats “are beginning to blink” when it comes to setting up arbitrary timelines for our withdrawal of troops from Iraq.
As you listen to this feed, Senator Carl Levin stated, “We are not going to jeopardize the (…) -
"Why Net Neutrality is Hollywood’s Secret Enemy"
11 April 2007http://www.chycho.com/?q=neutrality
On February 8th, the independent movie known as “The Secret” was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show. What was of significance about this event was not the information that this movie shared, but about this movie becoming a member of an elite and very significant group of films to have had a successful transition from the Internet to the mainstream media.
The first major movie to have successfully used the Net to propel itself to the spotlight was the (…) -
WHEY THEY FIGHT: US troop makeup
10 April 2007(No ethnic slurs are intended here, only phrases used by actual soldiers are revealed for the sake of honesty)
Most people can’t understand WHY U.S.soldiers would go to Iraq and risk their very lives or at very least their limbs or their sanity. Here is a rough breakdown which explains it all.
39% Go because they come from impoverished and undereducated backgrounds. They seek good pay, education and a possible pension (if they live that long!)
18% go because they come from (…) -
Ex CIA Spook alleges Kennedy’s Assassin was the US Government
9 April 2007"LBJ took a walk one day down Main Street USA, When he got there what did he see? The youth of America on LSD! LBJ ... USA ... CIA ..." (Lyrics from original HAIR Musical)
For a moment, forty years ago, it looked like the radicalising political effect of the Vietnam War together with the US Civil Rights movement would synthesise with the upcoming ’drop out’, psychedelic culture that swept over the youth of North America.
John and Yoko Lennon, part of that drop-out anti-war culture (…) -
Talk to Your Congress Member and Senators While They’re Home
9 April 2007by David Swanson
Senators are in their states until April 9, and Congress Members in their districts until April 15. Now’s an ideal time, by yourself or as a small group, to go and meet with your representatives....
You may want to lobby for:
1. Impeachment of Bush and Cheney: Here are resources. You should not allow your congress member or senators to maintain the pretense that any investigation is needed prior to beginning an impeachment hearing. Tell them that the FISA violations (…) -
Five-legged frogs to invade rivers in Britain
8 April 2007Scientists in England are trying to determine why some frogs in a river in Peterborough have five legs, the first known occurrence in Britain.
The discovery was made by naturalist Sharon Harris, who said she also spotted one frog with only three legs, the Peterborough Evening Telegraph reported.
’I was amazed to see them swimming about,’ Harris said. ’They are fully grown, but theyve got extra limbs growing out their legs.’
She contacted the Natural England environmental agency, and (…) -
Rewrite
8 April 2007Eschaton catches the Washington Post in blatant media manipulation of the war in Iraq, manipulation so bad it can be called lying. The original Reuters story contains the following paragraph concerning an American attack on the Iraqi city of Diwaniya, quoting American military spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Scott Bleichwehl:
“Bleichwehl said troops, facing scattered resistance, discovered a factory that produced ‘explosively formed penetrators’ (EFPs), a particularly deadly type of (…) -
American Mugabe
8 April 2007Most Americans really don’t understand their president.
And, no, I’m not even talking about the thirty percent or so who still give him a positive approval rating. I’m not sure those folks understand anything.
Among the remaining seventy percent, however, I would estimate that the vast bulk still have not fully apprehended what we’re dealing with here. Because what we’re dealing with is nothing short of an American Mugabe.
Even among the vast majority who disapprove of Bush’s (…) -
BBC: "Keep taking the Blue Pills!"
7 April 2007BBC News 24, the international version of Blair TV’s media war machine, has just announced a decision by the British Ministry of Defence to ’allow’ the 15 navy ex-detainees to sell their stories to the press. This will only be permitted after the stories are vetted by their commanding officers!
What blatant propaganda from the British corporate state!
No intelligent person is going to believe that this is anything but another seedy attempt on behalf of the Blairite war party to sell the (…)
