Nancy Pelosi is on her way to Lebanon, but her staff may want to get her on the phone. Or then again, maybe not. There is a sit-in underway in her Capitol Hill office today, Friday, March 30th, with military families and Iraq vets requesting to schedule an appointment to talk to her.
They’ve been asking for four months now for her to agree to meet with gold star and military families, veterans for peace, Iraq vets, and active duty troops. Pelosi proposed a meeting with (…)

“Several topics of interest. Let’s discuss the recent rash of outbreaks in the food chain. Mad Cow disease, Ecoli outbreaks in fresh spinach, Ecoli at east coast Taco Bells’s and an Olive Garden in the Midwest and finally, the great Pet Food die off. First off, there is Mad Cow in the United States. The Department of Agriculture is well aware of it. The Secretary issued dozens of calming statements when they found one (…) -

Fake Maritime Boundaries
31 March 2007Craig Murray, Barry Lando – Wake up from your Slumber.com March 28, 2007
I have been unpopular before, but the level of threats since I started blogging on the captured marines has got a bit scary.
It is therefore with some trepidation that I feel obliged to point this out.
"The British Government has published a map showing the coordinates of the incident, well within an Iran/Iraq maritime border. The mainstream media and even the blogosphere has bought this hook, line and sinker. (…) -
Why America Keeps Losing Wars
31 March 2007In the U.S.A.’s foolish plunge into an 1964-1972 Indo-China war, the U.S. forces won the battles, but lost the war for no more relevant reason than choosing that war. The War in Iraq which Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher foisted upon a credulous President George H.W. Bush, was much less a disaster, only because George H.W. Bush was wisely advised not to go deeper into Iraq. But, after the end of that war, Europe and the U.S.A. (both) promptly entered and lost the Balkan Wars which never (…)

Is Ulster the last refuge of the free and home of the brave?
31 March 2007A speeding biker - who sparked outrage after videoing himself riding one-handed at 185mph along the M2 - has now revealed his passion for racing along the winding Antrim Coast road.
The mysterious biker, who goes by the name Speedyfireblade, has been caught out yet again boasting on an online forum about his racing stunts and how he will be too fast for the police to catch.
The biker, who is believed to be from the Antrim area, claims to be part of a gang of around eight bikers who like (…) -
Iran Placed Under A State Of Siege.
31 March 2007Promised a larger piece of Middle East spoils down the road, more than 40 major international banks and financial institutions have publicly signed on either to cut off or cut back business with the Iranian government or private sector as a result of a quiet campaign launched by the Treasury and State departments last September, according to Treasury and State officials.
According to U.S. officials, the financial squeeze has seriously crimped Tehran’s ability to finance petroleum (…) -
A Pretext For Invasion
31 March 2007TEHRAN, Iran — Iran on Saturday insisted that 15 British spies it seized had illegally entered Iranian waters, denouncing what it called a "blatant aggression." The Britons were being taken to the capital for questioning, Iranian media reported much in the same the Americans and Brits have been hauling off Iranians who actually live in the region and have strong ties to elements in Iraq.
“Blimey! The Eye-Rainians ain’t got shit on us. We got fuckin’ strong ties with the Eye-rackies of our (…) -
Call that humiliation?
31 March 2007I share the outrage expressed in the British press over the treatment of our naval personnel accused by Iran of illegally entering their waters. It is a disgrace. We would never dream of treating captives like this - allowing them to smoke cigarettes, for example, even though it has been proven that smoking kills. And as for compelling poor servicewoman Faye Turney to wear a black headscarf, and then allowing the picture to be posted around the world - have the Iranians no concept of (…)

Brit “Hostage” Drama Pales in Comparison to MI6 and CIA Crimes Against Iran
31 March 2007“Perhaps we should get some perspective by imagining how we might react if the Iranians had occupied France and were patrolling the English channel,” runs a post on the UK Telegraph, responding to the capture of 15 British sailors by Iran.
Indeed. But I can think of one better.
Perhaps we’d get some perspective if we realized MI6 and the CIA plotted against the democratically elected government of Mohammad Mossadegh in 1953. “If there had not been a military coup, there would not have (…)
