When Democratic lawmakers return to Washington next month to take over Congressional leadership positions, many will be under heavy pressure from their supporters to start impeachment hearings against President George W. Bush.
From civil libertarians to antiwar groups, hundreds of grassroots organizations are currently engaged in a nationwide campaign for impeachment, even though some leading Democratic politicians have publicly said it’s not an option.

Argentina and Brazil from 2007 without dollar
15 December 2006Argentina and Brazil from 2007 without dollar
BUENOS AIRES, 13 December 2006 - Argentina and Brazil plan to use the U.S. dollar from middle 2007 no longer as a mediator currency for its trade exchange. The import-export-traffic between the largest Mercosur-partners is supposed to be completed then directly over the local currencies – Argentinian pesos and Brazilian actually –. The last details are supposed to be cleared in the headquarters bank conference taking place on Friday of the (…) -

Present Day Shibboleths
15 December 2006I’m sending a copy of this letter to everybody I know .Even though I’m confident all will agree with its substance. As we hear from time to time, give two rational people the same facts and they will come to the same conclusions.
"Terrorist", "terror", and "terrorism", they are the defining buzz words for this present day-the Shibboleths of an obscene drive for empire by the United States of America. Any clear-sightedness as to the meaning of any or all of these three words has eroded (…) -

14 December 2006JOHN LENNON DOCUMENTARY TO SHAKE UP THE POLITICAL LANDSCAPE EXCLUSIVE: Yoko Ono on John Lennon and the FBI By JONATHAN KARL
John Lennon’s perceived "threat" to the U.S. government is the highlight of a new film that documents his transformation from pop idol to political activist and offers a fresh look at this former Beatle’s career.
"The U.S. vs. John Lennon" will be released later this month. Yoko Ono cooperated with the filmmakers, opening her archives of rarely seen footage of the (…) -
Mythic Figures Spooking Dubya
14 December 2006“Myths which are believed in tend to become true.” - George Orwell
Since the release of the Iraq Study Group report, have you noticed how President George W. Bush, is displaying more often those wild, piercing eyes? Can you see the fear? He’s like a character in Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel “Crime and Punishment,” who has claimed special privileges for himself—like a license to commit crimes—but has been found out! What might be spooking Bush? Could it be his coming impeachment trial by the (…) -
Omissions In the Iraq Study Group Report
14 December 2006Omissions In the Iraq Study Group Report - by Stephen Lendman
Noted historian Eric Foner in a December 7 article on OpEd News.com calls George Bush "the worst president in US history....(who) in his first six years in office....managed to combine the lapses of leadership, misguided policies and abuse of power of his failed predecessors." Equally noted historian Gabriel Kolko agrees, and along with his other comments, calls the Bush administration "the worst set of incompetents ever to (…) -

Impeach Bushco, Save Lives: Open-ended March on DC begins Jan 3rd
14 December 2006There must be hundreds, if not thousands of anti-bush bloggers… why can’t we all work together? Anti-war patriots need to stop following cointelpro ‘leaders’ and start organizing our own actions.
Wouldn’t it be cool if every one of them put up a “March on DC to Impeach” banner. Haven’t you had enough of the Saturday afternoon protests that go nowhere? Who organizes a march when Congress isn’t even in town?
And this time, we’ll have none of that Nixon waving goodbye bullshit, we demand an (…)
